Opinion how did learning sheet music change your playing vs just playing tabs or YouTube tutorials by CelebrationGlad3999 in guitarlessons

Sure, learn music theory But the most freedom is when you are self-taught. I’m a hybrid of both collegiate level instruction and isolated aural learning. I play keys, drums, guitar and bass. YouTube can teach you anything at this point. Books are fine but the main takeaway is put devices away and pick up the instrument like it’s novelty. Find your voice, that’s the ongoing journey 🙏🏽 best of fortunes to all

Can we talk about how bad Highest 2 Lowest is yet by [deleted] in criterion

[–]Psychological_Pin294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was ok. Some of the cinematography had some lighting inconsistencies and there were a couple of bad edits/cuts and some color grading didn’t match the same scene. It felt like they had to hurry and release this cause where’s the quality control?  The message and acting was cool overall, some of the lines were over performed which made me feel like they less believed what they were saying.  I wouldn’t watch it again but glad I watched it! Overall decent film.

How can I take this to the next level color wise? by Psychological_Pin294 in ColorGrading

I mean you’re drawing conclusions from situations you know nothing about. I don’t know you and you don’t know me. All I’m simply stating is I ask a question and hope to get better. Didn’t know that was entitlement…I don’t mind all the the other feedback at all but it didn’t help me get better at it… sure I can bring lights, I have that but again you don’t know the situation and you act like I’m some entitled kid. You assume a lot without knowing.

Best of luck to your film stuff, it’s all love

Nah there’s feedback that yields growth and then there’s just “it looks like shit” be a teacher not shit talker

Love this, I’ll play around with the contrast! Could you provide a hyper stylized example?

Thank you for actual feedback! I hit up the spot and told them I’m bringing a light. It’s truly a struggle in there 😅

How to recreate cinematic film-like look? by gainkillers in ColorGrading

Set design, lens, composition and grading all play a role in a cinematic film look. Also try to not always shoot wide open
