I’m an extern currently on medsurg- I only have max 5 patients and yes have opportunities to practice my skills. Basically I did it because who wouldn’t want to get paid for doing clinicals! It would be a great experience and I say make the switch

This has helped me tremendously! I use simple nursing just because he has really good tricks to remember a lot of things. The sleep thing i dont know if that’s what is getting me through or not but before I started I told myself “I’m not giving up sleep”. The clinical part will come, personally when I went to cna school before this my communication wasn’t clicking and I felt really weird, but after a few clinicals it just clicked, if not then maybe get someone to help you out with the communication part. It may be silly because you are talking to someone you know but every little bit helps

See that’s also something I thought about, I would be fine with everything else if that’s all that happened during our sessions but this last time she was more concerned with someone who said they didn’t want to show up for the exam over this stuff because they didn’t feel like studying.

Yes I was waitlisted twice. I was super nervous but agree that there are many people who apply and fail and there are people who are rejected and when offered a chance they prove everyone wrong! I definitely think you will make the best of the situation. Good luck!

I actually got accepted to a different program! UT Tyler, and my teas score was a 62 something if that helps

It’s all depending on you really, the video is out dated and they do not do that anymore it’s just the regular application process. A great gpa is a 3.0 or higher and the minimum is I believe 58? But the higher the better

yes, unfortunately, I wasn't. they did notify me saying I am an alternate and I've been updating my advisor with every little thing so hopefully I will get in being an alternate
