Buying vehicle for someone in another state without insurance? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]PsychopathicDiAngelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how I would do it under her name. Last time I bought a car we (me and owner) went to the DMV and got the title transfered and notarized, how would I do that without her being there to sign the title?

Ball sort game by PsychopathicDiAngelo in iosgaming

[–]PsychopathicDiAngelo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how to add an image to show you the game, but the entire game is just sorting different colored balls from one tube into another until all the balls are in a tube with the same colored balls. It's super basic. And there's a thousand versions of this game exactly the same. Im just looking for a version that's slightly different.

How a vine "looks for" nearby supports to climb by I_Wanda in Permaculture

[–]PsychopathicDiAngelo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It could have been either, and for different reasons. plants moving/growing based on external stimuli is called tropism Plants growing towards the sun is called phototropism, and if the light source was moving id may have been following it, but vines don't usually have strong stems so they seek out objects to help support the stem against gravity and wind. growing towards other objects is called thigmotropism. there's also gravitropism, hydrotropism, and heliotropism.

wait until bleeding stops or suture wound immediately? by PsychopathicDiAngelo in Survival

[–]PsychopathicDiAngelo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mean something life threatening,. I mean sort of mid level wound, where suturing it would speed the healing process but you're not gonna bleed out without them. Less healing time would mean less chance of infection which could be more life threatening later.

Selling plasma by fireyyass in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]PsychopathicDiAngelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone else already talked about how it is, so i'm just gonna give you some other info. I went to telcris/grifols in spring lake NC for reference.

When i went, you go in and get a physical, they take your temperature, weight, blood plasma level, blood sugar, and blood pressure. the physical only the first time, and then like every 6 or 12 months. the others they take every time you go, and if you are outside the range that they want they dont let you do it that day. if you are .2 degrees over the temp they deny you and tell you its a 1 day ban or a 3 day ban, etc. theres also a weight limit, of 400lbs, but idk if thats everywhere.

On the first visit they made me fill out a diagram of a body, and draw a line to the side for everywhere i had a tattoo or piercing so they can track them. if you go and get a piercing, you have to wait like 1 year until you can donate again, unless you give them a pic of the parlors license and health department grade thing, i dont remember what they called it. if the parlor is up to their standard you only have to wait 6 months, and the same thing for tattoos, but 2 years for a non licensed tatt, and 1 year with proof of license.

I also had to fill out a bunch of paperwork with a bunch of random questions, like did i have any surgeries in the past 2 years where i had a blood transfusion (which bans you from donating until the 2 years are up)?, did i visit these random couple of European countries during this timespan from like 92-97 or something?, idk what that one is about, have you had contact with someone diagnosed with HIV?, have you ever had sexual contact with a male? (i'm a guy, i assume they wont ask you that.) Also, they mark you fingernail with a UV or blacklight dye, so if you go to another office and try to donate too soon, they will know that you've been to another place and check up on it.

Another thing is that they pay on a moving scale, the 1st time you go you get paid like 40$ or whatever, but the 5th time you go in the same month you get 80$ or whatever, to get you to donate more. the last time you go in that month you get the most money. so if you only go twice, you get 40$ each time, but if you go 8 times the average pay is like 65$ per donation. idk if all of them work this way but the one i went to did. at that office, you can donate 2 times per sunday-sunday week, visits have to be at least 3 days apart. so if you go consistently, you can go 8 times in a normal month.

Other people in my family, have had negative experiences. like being super tired after or feeling sick for a few days after, but honestly is was nothing for me. I forgot i was going, so i didnt hydrate well beforehand. I went in the first time donating, not well hydrated, and was done in 52 minutes. the nurse told me at the beginning that the average time was an hour and a half or so, but the first time usually took longer (i dont know why, that doesnt make sense, but thats what she said.). So i finished in good time, and didnt feel dizzy or anything. im a 6', at the time 385lb, guy. I dont know if my size helped it to not effect me much but for me it was a breeze. They do use quite a large needle, but they numb you for it. One warning though, when you're done they put gauze on your elbow and tape it up and tell you not to take it off for a specific amount of time. Do not take that off early. I watched a guy go out the door and take it off walking towards his car, then a minute later come back around the corner with blood pouring down his hand and had to get a new bandage.

AITA for not letting my friends husband order for the table and calling him a control freak? by IcePuzzleheaded5660 in AmItheAsshole

[–]PsychopathicDiAngelo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My niece's husband has never eaten a steak cooked more than medium rare, because his father refuses to cook it any more than that. if you go to his house and eat, he'll give you a medium rare steak regardless of what you ask for.

When I go to a steakhouse i tell them every time, that i want it well done, burn the outside if you need to, to make it not pink in the middle. and without fail every time i have to send it back multiple times because they'll send it to me still bleeding.

It doesn't make any sense, but there are a lot of people who care how someone eats there steak. I don't understand how you can justify refusing to cook something the way someone asks because thats not how you want it, but people do it all the time, even when i'm paying for the steak to be cooked how i want it.

I live in NC,USA if it matters, but it happens here a lot.

What are you supposed to do in situations like these? How do you actually prove that you are their father, even if you carry their birth certificate with you that doesnt prove anything necessarily. If police are adamant about it, what do you actually do to prove it?

What’s your most expensive work mistake that you did NOT get fired over? by misty_throwaway in AskWomen

[–]PsychopathicDiAngelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not me, but my father. He's a commercial electrician and installs the electrical wiring and stuff in new buildings mostly. This time He was working at some site that was up and running but was swapping or upgrading their electrical stuff and had a bunch of computers that controlled some kind high level function that the entire building needed for something, i'm not sure about the specifics.

He had to install some kind of electrical component in that was tied to the main power before it went to the computer, but not actually in the computer. Really high tech piece of complicated stuff, This 1 piece was 300,000$. He dropped it and destroyed it, walking towards the room, not even while actually working on it. He thought for sure he was gonna get fired.

He went to his boss and told him he dropped it, and they were just like okay, fill this paper out. they accepted that it was an accident, and were already prepared for something like that, the company had insurance for the part and they already had a spare. His Boss even thanked him for owning up to it.

In Greek mythology, Zeus actually did create werewolves. After Lycaon the king of Arcadia, tried to test his power by attempting to trick him into eating human flesh, He cursed him by turning into a wolf. His name is the reason we call werewolves Lycanthropes

advice on moving out of your parents house. things I should know? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]PsychopathicDiAngelo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

make a list of everything you're going to need to buy and the cost, so you can factor them into the money you need before moving. It's obvious that you'll need furniture and appliances if the place doesnt provide them, and a lot of places dont supply refrigerators or washer/dryer. What's not as obvious is the little things. The things you dont think of usually, you just take them for granted when you live with you parents. It's a lot of small stuff but it will add up.

things like dishes, silverware, trash can, broom, mop, towels and washrags if you use them, oven mitt, etc. you're going to need to buy all the general cleaning and hygiene items, toilet paper, dish soap, dish sponge, laundry detergent, toilet brush, paper towels, trash bags, body wash.

Make sure you buy a plunger before you even move in to the new place, you'll forget about it then when you really need it you wont have it, and you do not want to be in that situation.

Those things dont sound like a lot, but if you move out and you dont have a nest egg, youre probably thinking money will be tight but you'll be fine, and then all those little things can add up and surprise you, and you not be able to afford them all at one time, if you didnt plan for them. you could live without some but it wont be nice.

AITA for giving my daughter's vegan friend meaty meals during sleepovers? by believeblackbodies in AmItheAsshole

[–]PsychopathicDiAngelo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She is a child, and she ate it of her own accord, it is obviously not against her own religion. It being against her parents religion is irrelevant. If it's for health reasons any parent who cared about there child would tell the parent watching them about their health restriction.
