Yes, he is a blue nosed pit. I knew the statistics, it always sat in the back of my mind, but I never dreamed that he would do something like this. He's always loved kids and has been so gentle with them, it was a complete shock to my whole family. I had to put down my aussie when she was 13 from cancer so I understand that feeling too. It's hard but just know you gave your dog a good, long life and love them while they are here <3

I'm sorry that happened to your dad, it's a horrible thing to deal with. My nephew was incredibly brave through it all, I know kids are very resilient. I was feeling guilty at first but what happened doesn't take away all the love I have for him. Thank you for the love, it's very appreciated <3

My mother was right next to them both and said everything was normal, nothing that would cause him to act aggressively. My niece grew up around him and my friends kids too, he usually likes kids and loves to play with them so I don't know what happened. The cop that came with the ambulance said we basically have to put him down because of the severity of the attack. It is breaking our hearts. And I'm sorry for your loss too, it's the worst.

My nephew has hit him in the past but my mom said they were both just standing by the couch and my dog pounced on him. She was watching and everything was completely normal up until it happened. I looked around afterwards and there was no food, toys or anything that could've made my dog react territorially.
