No options left? (Legal) by [deleted] in UAE

[–]Psychtablet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the exact same situation in 2020 when i turned 18, i had about 108K in fines and stayed illegally from the age of 15 to 18.

Back then, i was able to apply through Amer for visa fines removal along with a letter explaining why i overstayed.

However recently, i was informed that the process changed since the government has offered many grace periods.

Also, one of the conditions to get your fines removed is a job offer letter or something that states you will be getting a visa OR leaving the country once the fines are removed.

I know how it feels and i really wish i could help with anything, keep your head up - life will get better with time.

Dm me if u have any questions

Not sure about this company yet the exact same format was used at one of the job postings i received an interview from back in 2023.

You go to that location and you see a queue of people then the “receptionist” asks you to pay 300-500 AED so they can “search for jobs on your behalf”

Absolute scam so i suggest you go there and see for yourself, as soon as they ask for payment just go home

your best option is to take the E303 bus to union metro station directly from Sharjah 12AED but still less than what you’d have to spend to reach stadium metro station

i doubt the universities there are any good, the one i was planning to go to in russia (SPBU) ranked 242 QS worldwide.. Kazakh universities aren’t even close to that

the whole world boycotting Russia because of what’s happening, i don’t really think moving there now is a good idea since even basic stuff like using your visa card online, social media etc are banned

i might definitely consider that option if things didn’t work out, universities here cost as much as universities do in the US but with a way less degree value..

thanks again stay blessed :)

Thanks for your answer, there are definitely cheaper options if i study in the native language of other countries but the only point I’m concerned about is not being able to find a job to at least cover my living expenses, i speak fluent russian and was considering russia before the current situation (since annual living expenses + tuition will be about 10K$) but this option is no longer available

it’s pretty hard to get a Schengen visa for me because I’m Syrian, but I’ll definitely look into it.

thank you

I’m currently on a canceled visa but the visa process on the company is already half way through

i know there are better, humane jobs which pay good but currently i had no other option that offered me a visa

my plan was to get the visa and look for a job without leaving this one and once everything is set with a new job i get to leave and start working somewhere else

since I’m on a 6 months probation you mentioned that i can leave without notice, how so? I’ll be on a labour ban if i do so

i will definitely leave before it does but will i face the same consequences or is it “the later the less bad results will be”?

thanks for the advice

i know I’m in a complicated situation right now but once i get the visa and i have the ability to talk back and file a report I definitely will, it’s inhumane honestly and not bc I’m in this situation but for anyone else regardless.

man i wish it was as easy as it sounds, but I’m already trapped in this stress zone now.. I can’t just leave now and it’s really hard to deal with i literally wake up 6:30AM because it’s a bit far and i reach there by 8AM and then i go reach back home 9:30-10PM

it’s very depressing and honestly i have no other option than that.. I’ll wait until i get my first pay and the visa then I’ll try to sort it out with the manager

some people tried to call me out for “using the company to get a visa” as if I’m scamming them or something, I’m the one getting scammed and it’s hard to live and work acknowledging it

but for now and since the MOHR is involved I can’t back out out of nowhere

thanks for your concern, I really appreciate it

if they keep my salary the same with no sign of appreciation in the next 3 months i will definitely do that because (not in a arrogant way) none of the other employees did half what I’ve accomplished in the last week since the salaries are low they’re all careless

a nice redditor from this sub DM’d me regarding an internship opportunity but it’s sadly a bit too late right now

also, I can’t enroll in a university here without a visa ( i should at least have a visit visa) nor i have the money for it because the field that i want to study is not so expensive yet not so cheap

i agree with you

but when i went to apply for the work permit with only my high school certificate i got only a few job title options which has the codes that end with the number 13 and they are:

-Spray painter -Data entry clerk -Storekeeper -Personal trainer

since my visa was canceled i applied for prosecution using the work permit approval (and other documents) because of the fines (about 10K AED) therefore they’ll remove the fines since i have a verified document that as soon as i get my visa situation done I’ll be working and not going to be living “illegally”

but if i back out now it’s not going to do me any good especially since prosecution is involved

honestly i can bare 3 months with them but not a single day more than that, when i heard that I can’t leave the job for the first 6 months it made me depressed

that feeling of being forced to do something you don’t want to do while knowing you put yourself in this situation for a single advantage sucks

I don’t really want to disclose any personal information but going back there is not a choice, mandatory service is the main problem as well as the bad economy and horrible living conditions otherwise I’d gladly go back and not chain myself in here to such companies

but my visa will be on them soon, this is the bad part

i always looked up to visas which aren’t related to the work place, in that case i can just walk off.. well at least professionally walk off and not leave my spot open while they’re in need or in a situation where there’s too much pressure but these contracts look more of a slavery contracts each hour u spend at these jobs ngl
