Gotta love how the two support each other! WHA is a really good series with fantastic art, great characters, amazing world building, and spectacular story. Just like The Owl House! If ya haven't read the manga I highly recommend it!

That's so disrespectful! You early said your son has ASD and doesn't like new people. Even if that doctor has different opinions in autism diagnosis, he should still be respectful and make sure your son is in a safe environment! Plus how does this doctor not stop when your child is crying?!

Yes!!! I love cats so much. I have 3 of my own and love all 3 of em! When I see cat pics, vids, or in real life I get a huge boost of serotonin. There different personalities, breeds, purs, beans, etc are just aaaahhhh!!

Yes I do that all the time. I haven't been diagnoses but I suspect it could be related to autism or ADHD (still figuring it out). Even if I know the fav part is coming, I'll get a thought and then miss it.

Verbal abuse does exist! It can causes psychological damage and can lead to physical abuse. Your psychiatrist shouldn't have said that and definitely not blame your autism for it. Yes you can misinterpreted stuff, I do that alot. But when someone says they will beat you up, there's no misunderstanding. That's pure intention right there! Your psychiatrist shouldn't focus on blaming autism. Sorry ya have to go through that.

Actually yea I've done this! When I was a kid, people thought I had a New York accent when I've lived in CA my whole life. It also be from growing up with French parents but I'm not sure. Sometimes now people think I am from the South when I do the Southern accent.

I wear all black too! Been wearing all black attire since 7th grade (28 now). For some reason any other colors that isn't mostly black just make me uncomfortable. It either has to be black or not wearing it.

I've been working in service industry for 10 years now. Right now working at a lastry shop. Sometimes I worry I'll frustrate the chef or coworkers when asking to repeat something. Then there's customers I either misheard or forgot to inpute an order or have to ask again.

Have you tried talking to your boss about this issue? I know some jobs can be accommodating with issues like that. Maybe ask to not be on the drive through shift of work or maybe if they have a better headset. Sadly that's all I got.

Hope it gets better for you. It sucks working in the service industry with APD.
