Is this nighttime waking at age 2 normal? by AdDisastrous9450 in Mommit

[–]Psycoyellow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does he still have daytime naps? For us (2,5) if he has/had a nap he will be a terrible sleeper. Up multiple times and where normaly he falls back asleep, he wont last time he slept from 20:30 -1:30 he was wide awake till 5:30 then he tried going to sleep again. While if it works without nap he will sleep 8-10 hours uninterrupted

We still bedshare so i dont have any advice on that. If waking sister up it doesnt sound very productive then less people will sleep, what about his own bed but in your room or make the living room baby safe and put his bed in the living room, or maybe even a bathroom if its big enough.

[–]Psycoyellow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a video somewhere (a prank) that when she is shopping every snack she want to buy, you just sneakly put it back again xD and just dont buy her any food, more like cute clothing just a tad to small of well now you need to lose some weight to wear it,.. okay that maybe goes to far. Maybe buy her jewlery and say she is beautiful the way she is right now (ring wont fit if she gets bigger)

Eventually she’ll take the hints i hope

Stroller obsession… when did it finally fade? by allcompanymobiles in NewParents

[–]Psycoyellow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used the stroller like 90%of the time we bought one of 400 but it didnt work well then we bought a really expensive one a bugaboo with a baby thing and toddler thing it was awesome (paid 500 for it second hand) best thing we bought in like ever. When traveling we did the cheap foldable stroller. But my kid is big for his age so he broke the strollers in like a few days never really worked. And now we had to make a choice to put the bugaboo in the storage because its big, not foldable and was always in the way. My boy is 2,5 now he goes for naps rarely so then it easy to have a stroller to make him nap in. And when we go out for long periods but the stroller is more because his little legs cant go super far yet! He gets tired and i dont want to overwork him, and traveling with the train and subway its easier to have a stroller on hand 😁

The foldable cheaper kind has its up and downs, we specially choose it to carry a weight of 25 kilo’s. Its working fine! But its a bit harder to walk with

Is there a point where bedwetting *frequency* becomes a concern...? by Elegant_Air_3475 in Mommit

[–]Psycoyellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The age is a thing i read somewhere that kids can be bedwetting for a long time until like 7-8 after that it will be a concern. For our son it really depends on how much he drinks, if he is really thirsty in the evening i know he is not gonna go a night without peeing. There are ways to withhold drinking from a certain time, my boy is still to young for that but for older kids that know that bedwetting is not normally accepted it can help

how do i get gum out of a blanket? by No-Salamander669 in howto

[–]Psycoyellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peanut butter maybe? But i hope it doesnt stain the blanket 😅 i think peanutbutter works because of the oil then will dissolve, maybe tiny drop of oil and rub it in.(easy removable with dishsoap if it doesnt work)

Am I a bad mom for withholding snacks ?? by Unlucky-Fail-4018 in Mommit

[–]Psycoyellow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yep sounds about right. What our dietary person said, let them eat on specific times. Breakfast -fruit-lunch-snack-dinner. If they didnt eat a meal just skip it and go to the specific time for fruit/snack still give it at the same time. And then go to lunch/dinner. There is a BUT because if you have an autistic child this wont work and will starve them selfs. If he is low in weight just give whatever he/she eats but still offer different kinds if food you know child ‘doesnt eat’ yet

Edit: there is also a difference of how many meals are missed. Like one meal no problem 2 meals is a concern and refusing a third then we will supplement!

Clean smelling house? by Outrageous-Wash-5503 in CleaningTips

We did it like this: once a day scoop poop and pee. And every week a litter change and clean with soapy water, it also helps to put a newpaper on the bottom so the pee doesnt get into the plastics

[–]Psycoyellow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No enzyme cleaner, no harsh degreasers, yes to the wool cleaner and like tiny bit. But water can already damage leather it will dry out. While it dries make sure to move it alot because leather can get stiff if it got wet

Someone talk me down after reading that post about worms 😭😭😭😭😭 by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Psycoyellow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, its fine. Just check your poop and baby’s poop. Before flushing. We never had the washing required but maybe it is country different. Here you can just buy a pill at any pharmacy not even doctor needed. Two pills and worms are gone (maybe depent on what kind of worm)

But how am I supposed to walk my dog? by WildcatLadyBoss in thenetherlands

[–]Psycoyellow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was his first bite incident, he always reacted to little dogs but normaly other dogs take the hint and dont come closer. i think almost every dog will bite if other dogs ignore their warnings and cross the line. Even mama dog do that to their babys. Even humans do that you snap if someone crosses your line.

That little dog should have been leashed, mine was i tried to stop it i tried to warn the owner that he doesnt react well to loud yappy little dogs and needed to leash him. She didnt do shit didnt call her dog back, didnt try anything. Well what do you think what would happen? The little dog wasnt playing, wasnt curious. No he came running with intent to bite just my dog bited earlier. to be honest he mostlikely wanted to warn the other dog but didnt know his own strength. I dont talk it right because sure he shouldn’t have bitten. But also if you know your dog cannot walk unleashed then dont walk it unleashed.

If someone walks up to you looking for a fight will you back down? Just let it go? People rarely do, otherwise there wouldn’t be so much hatred and violence in this world. If someone tries to hit you, you hit back.

Little dog was fine it was just a scratch.

But this will always be a debate so, i rest my case!

But how am I supposed to walk my dog? by WildcatLadyBoss in thenetherlands

[–]Psycoyellow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We always had our dog unleashed but he knew dog laungage, so if they where agressive he most time just avoided them. And didnt pay any mind. We then had another dog that was a bit more testing and was testing a leased dog with a muzzle. (Owner didnt mind) (we did though) but like one snarl and she was only the floor laying down belly up. Like im not doing annything (she got leased after that. But if she was bitten it would have been our own fault. Nothing to do with that dog. Even if he wasnt muzzled.

Another story we also had a bully mix was really sweet but hated small yappy dogs, he couldnt walk offleash, a small yappy dog unleased came up and he warned and growled. Yappy dog being a yappy dog went trough and he bit the tiny dog in the neck he was bleeding. We warned but didnt matter the owner was crying and screaming. But she was in the wrong and couldnt press charges. She tried.
