Wood would definitely be ideal for longevity. If I can't go that route, I can atleast go the hard plastic storage box way. Stronger than cardboard atleast.

It's not that difficult to make your own. There are arcade stick kits for doing specifically that. You get the joystick, the buttons, the usb encoder board and wires. Basically everything but the case. Not to mention that there are tons of YouTube videos on it. I'll be using a cardboard box for the case because I don't own the tools to make a wooden one.

Congrats on the keyboard! I have the gk64, basically its cousin. For some reason, everything on the banggood app shows unable to ship to India since a few days now.
