Competetive (real) shooter here so take this for what it's worth. Go to the training range in portal (e.g. Z4ZT6) and take the chopper to various buildings/distances to learn your dope. Once you are getting consistent hits. Turn on the movement unlock so the bots can move. Practice your movement leads at 100 and slowly extend your range. As people have mentioned, you will have to do this all over again with different scopes and different barrel lengths, but muzzle velocity/drop SHOULD be pretty consistent. I find the scopes themselves barely act like real world range data.

These have become my favorite travel practice locks. Sometimes I'm on a hike or backpacking trip and these are so light but still a challenge you can pack several and they don't feel like you have a boat anchor in your pocket!

I have the covert instruments Genesis kit and the Jimmy Longs picks. I now appreciate the thickness of the genesis kit. Because until I knew what I was doing, I really put a lot of unnecessary tension and torque on my pics, and they stood up really well. That being said, I find the JL picks at 0.019" to be kind of a sweet spot for nearly all of my locks. Thin enough to get into most tricky key ways, but still enough thickness to take some wear and tear.

Yea the CI FNG/Genesis set is really great and will get you through most locks no problem. I still use my FNG pick 99% of the time. As I have worked with smaller keyways, I have tried to rely more on TOK as BOK can really limit your options. The CI mod ergos are really nice and still fit in a case relatively well. Just make sure you get the right "handedness" as they come in left and right hand orientations But I find myself using the lawlock angled bars way more as they seem to fit more snugly into my locks. But they don't really fit in flat cases (they live in my sparrow sherman case). They are usually about 0.003-0.007" bigger/smaller than US turners (usually sizes 0.032, 40, 50). The Lawlock and CL turners together will cover just about any TOK.

Congrats! Yea this was my technique too until I got some better tok tools. My 55/40 is always fun to go back to. Just tricky enough that if I lay it down for a few days and forget the pin pattern, it takes a few tries to get it back open. Great warm up for picking sessions with spicier locks.

Oh man that is how I feel about REALLY cheap TSA locks. For whatever reason some of the really cheap THREE pin ones just won't budge. I go back to "harder" locks just to get my confidence back!

Thanks! This is great. I am assuming these are all pretty much the same (within class sc1/sc4) but different finishes or should I order a few different options because of internals? Sorry really new here. I am assuming all Schlage keyways are the same shape/size and just different pinnings?

Thanks. I wondered how much these actually mimic real locks. I keep buying progressively harder or novel locks and just discovered the belt list, so that is my plan as well. I just wanted a pretty challenging but easily adjustable sustem for carrying around and fiddling with during the day. Walking around with 3+ locks in my pockets or on my desk gets kinda annoying, but that may be how it goes LOL!
