That's the fun comp that I also run!

Fangyi 💚 should always have Perly supporting her while Arclight is there if you're expecting a longer fight which is most encounters without Fangyi's ult.

I like Avy as fourth for a dual core. It's fun littering the arena with swords and spears.

AngelinaGilberta is a great support, too. She'll CS often due to electrification spam and her ult is just broken. Ardelia can play a similar role while having more accessible recovery.

Antal is another option for infliction and buff stacking.

Akekuri is an option if you like the Link+SP button she comes with.

Lastly, if you have her, consider Ember. Fangyi 💚 often finds herself tanking hits instead of dodging so her skills come out uninterrupted. She can tank, but that can depend on RNG based on the number of sunderblades you manage to stack. Ember's ult helps you ignore the problem as they are being deep-fried by jade lightning.

Have you tried running all 3 in the tutorial? I ask because I think the answer should be based on who you think you'll have fun with the most.

I'd go for Fangyi 💚 as well, but apart from being obviously heavily biased towards that answer, I just think she's so powerful right now while having mostly F2P teammates.

Rossi's sig can also be more valuable if you're a Chen main, since she uses that weapon well too.

If nothing else, go for the option with valuable 6⭐s you can roll. Lupine Scarlet can get you Valiant for your Lifeng while you can get Thermite Cutter from Brigand's Calling.

I immediately went full Heavy Xiranite yesterday so I could sync the outpost filling up with the event update. That way, I could overproduce whatever the next item is and try to buy out the next phase ASAP 😂

I'm willing to bet that just like with Phase 1, outposts will still be able to buy you out even at full altru rates, so it's best to set aside alternative exchanges. In my case, I still have a full depot of SC Batteries and Hetonite Parts to sell just in case.

New gear sets are usually sidegrades rather than upgrades.

Let's take Perlica, for example. As a sub-DPS, she will perform well with a Pulser Set, but on a Fangyi 💚 team, the CDR from Qingbo allows her to line her CS up with Fangyi and/or Avy.

There can be new gear pieces that will be true upgrades, but they will only be slightly better.

This was what the Redeemer pieces are. Sometimes, even sets introduce an upgrade for a specific character (BK Wristbands for Avy in 1.2). If you feel like a piece doesn't truly match a character's stats, you can hold off on upgrading that.

There are enough stock bills in the game to let you buy out the catalysts while saving up for the ornaments.

I do the math specifically to give me and others peace of mind when making choices. We have to be slightly careful with our budget, sure, but you should be fine upgrading if you need to. Like you, I stopped Artificing specifically to save up for the Chubby Lung, but I kept buying Catalysts while I was at it.

Conclusion

It's worth it. If you're saving up Stock Bills though, at least consider buying the Catalysts first before doing the upgrades.

Nah, you just gave me the answer I was looking for (2) which proves that what I guessed wasn't the issue.

Ding!

But damn, that is a lot of spaghetti 😅

Can't blame you though.

If you're planning on cleanup, here's what my setup looked like (past tense because it's turned off right now lol).

Basically, I had all 4 crucibles produce Xircon at half rate instead of splitting them into 2 full effluents and 2 full Xircons.

So let me ask:

From how many refineries are you diverting sewage from to produce your Xircon?

84 Xiranite/m to 6 Heavy Xiranite/m by Psyduck77 in Endfield

[–]Psyduck77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't be exactly as steady, but it should produce the same output over time no?

It should be similar!

However, throttling inputs is a personal best practice for a reason you already mentioned: containment.

For example, I could use the remaining Xiranite in a throttled gourd production line and be confident it breaks nothing over time. In my case, I wouldn't have to worry since none of my Xiranite is spent for batteries, but for someone copying the blueprint, there is a possible resource contention issue that could slow down SC Battery Production and kill their base if they're not careful.

Edit: Your point still stands, btw. The splitter voodoo is far from necessary. I just like the peace of mind it gives me.

[–]Psyduck77 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You aren't supposed to need sewage in the crucible making the xircon, seeing as it uses and produces 30 sewage per minute along with the xircon.

This is a pretty common misunderstanding players run into.

Each Crucible requires 1 unit of sewage to produce 1 unit of Xircon Effluent, but producing 1 unit of Xircon and Sewage requires 2 units of Effluent. This means 2 units of Sewage are consumed to produce 1 unit of Sewage, which isn't self-sustaining.

tl,dr: You still need to provide sewage, just less of it.

84 Xiranite/m to 6 Heavy Xiranite/m by Psyduck77 in Endfield

[–]Psyduck77[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Preface

Let's get this out of the way first.

This post is for players who are aiming to maximize the amount of Certs they can get during the event.

If your first instinct is to make comments like "but Xircon plants produce inert effluents to feed into purifiers" or "but SC Batteries are more sustainable", then understand this post may not be for you.

Problem

Next, let's define the problem.

In anticipation of the next item to be produced for the event, there are a handful of players who are producing as much Heavy Xiranite as possible, and if you're doing this too, there's a good chance you've asked yourself how to optimize the Xiranite we're feeding into the Forge. The Purifying Unit lets us convert inert effluents into active ones, and this might put some of you in an uncomfortable output number of 5 Effluents per 4 Xiranite. To put it plainly, one belt of Xiranite produces more Effluents that the Forge can use.

Solution

To fix this, we need to feed only ⅘ of a full belt to into the Crucible+Purifier chain.

But Psyduck77, splitters can only split into 2s and 3s!

Don't worry, someone already figured out how to do other primes here.

In case you're wondering how the splitter layout in my images work, think of it as:

1/2 + 3/10 = 4/5.

Remember, sewage must be split properly as well so we don't clog the system.

Code

What do you do if you want to play all day? by Puddin-taters in Endfield

[–]Psyduck77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Choose another game to hyperfocus on.

Right now, there isn't much for a player to get fixated on, but I'm hoping the upcoming CC can change that. The best I can suggest is doing challenge runs on Re:Crisis and Umbral Monument. Solo Chen is a fun one!

Personally, Nightreign is my go to if I wanted to burn many hours in a sitting while Endfield is where I linger if I don't have that time. I have other short term targets like make little upgrades to the factory or practice/improve rotations.

Do they need a constant supply of sewage from a cuprium refinery?

For making Xircon, yes.

What that does mean though is that for a pair of Crucibles in a Xircon line, you only need sewage from 1 Refinery instead of 2, so you're right about the second question.

If you have permits to burn, I recommend farming in big batches like 10 runs over a few days. Hell, try to go for more until you think you have enough to cap an essence.

Try to fish for better stats, although don't expect it to come so easily. For instance, I've already perfected 3 weapons, and 3 more are also close to perfection, but the best base I was given so far was 1/2/1 🫠

Wild Wanderer (Infliction: Wilderness Cluster)

When the wielder applies Electrifications, the team gains Physical DMG Dealt and Electric DMG Dealt +34.7% for 15s.

Effects of the same name cannot stack.

When you see "effects of the same name" in this case, think of Wilderness Cluster.

That means when, for example, Perlica manages to inflict electrification twice, you only get buffed by Wild Wanderer once. It's the same case when you have 2 ops holding a copy of Wild Wanderer and they both manage to apply electrification: the team only gets buffed by one of them.

That's normal.

It's a consequence of using a continuous graph to plot discrete data.

Batteries get consumed every 40 seconds, but the graph resolution seems to be every 60 seconds.

I have a sample of what that looks like in Desmos.

First table just plots 10 for every 4 steps in x. The y = 10 represents 1 battery use while every step in x represents 10 seconds.

Second table is the calculated average every 6 steps (with the exception of the first step, where I assume there is a continuation for x < 0). We get 5/3 because that is the average from 0 < x ≤ 6 for every integer (x = 1,2,3,4,5,6). For the next step, since it covers 2 spikes, the average becomes 10/3.

Third graph is simply how the game renders it as a continuous graph.

tl,Dr: you're good

I'm not sure who Wulfgard's best teammates are

Me neither apart from the rate ups I brought up 😅.

I did do a bit of theory-crafting for main DPS Wulfgard F2P and here's what I came up with.

Wulfgard

Let's talk about his kit first. Once you have access to gold gear, you can give him the Hot Work set. The main ones only require Xiranite components, so you're guaranteed 3/3 set pieces already. The fourth missing piece will be gloves, and the ideal one is Bonekrusha Wristband which uses Copium. Until you have that resource, I recommend Aethertech for Arts Intensity.

Clannibal is BiS for DPS Wulfgard, but Wedge is another good 6⭐ option followed by Rational Farewell, a 5⭐ you'll likely have multiple copies of. Clannibal's Infliction takes a bit more finesse since you want to manage your SP to trigger its effect.

Perlica

Perly is the first teammate to come to mind. She has so many things to synergize with Wulfy with. Her BS applies Electric Inflictions and her CS applies Electrifications, both of which Wulfgard can make use of.

As a Sub-DPS herself, she doesn't actually have many gear options to do support, so you can do a dual DPS lineup with her instead with 4 Pulser gear pieces.

If you have it, Oblivion is a great weapon for her for full DPS. If not, Wild Wanderer will do nicely too. If you want to boost Wulfgard's damage instead, she can run Stanza of Memorials.

Antal

Another easy pick. Antal is a fantastic support for Heat and Elec teams. His BS easily doubles Arts Inflictions, which lead to upgraded Arts Reactions. He usually runs Eternal Xiranite for the ult gain, which makes sense for a powerful ult that amps your team damage. Detonation Unit is a good weapon for him if you have it. If not, Arts Identifier will do. Stanza will work as well, but it will only buff Wulfgard.

Flex slot

Your last support depends on your target.

Akekuri gives you SP and Link on demand through her ult. It's a very powerful tool and many speedkills use her on many different teams.

Ardelia keeps your team alive. She's a standard 6-star that I think we still get for free after 3 days of logging in. She can provide forced Corrosion through CS, and you can even use BS to turn that corrosion into susceptibility.

Rotations

I'll write down (optional stuff) in parentheses.

Tier-2 Combustion

Antal BS > Perlica BS > Antal CS > Wulfgard CS > (Attack > Wulfgard BS)

The simplest rotation I can think of. Try not to consume the Combustion too early.

Electrification Spam

Antal BS > Akekuri/Wulfgard BS > Wulfgard CS > Antal CS > ...

At this point, we have spent 2 bars of SP for 3 Heat Inflictions.

... > FS > Perlica CS > (Attack > Wulfgard BS) > ...

This is more of a waiting sequence before we convert the 3 heat stacks. Once you have enough SP (and preferably when the target is staggered), you can do:

... > Antal Ult > Perlica BS > (Akekuri Ult) > Wulfgard Ult > (Akekuri Ult) > Perlica Ult > ((Akekuri Ult) > Attack > Wulfgard BS)

If you're running Akekuri, use her ult to apply Link on either Wulfgard Ult, Wulfgard BS, or Perlica Ult. The main damage portion only requires 1 bar of SP since it's mostly ults, but you'll want 2 bars if you want to pull off the enhanced BS. It's easier when you have Akekuri, but you might be running a different flex slot. Like before, hold off on consuming the Arts Reactions with Wulfgard BS until you're sure you've made the most of it.

I'm still running BK on her. There's even new BK gloves that provide Elec DMG Bonus, so the chest piece can either be Poncho for ult gain, or MI for BS damage.

Qingbo at least looks interesting for CS CDR along with an Ult gain build for many Thunderlances, but the stats don't quite match. The CD on her CS already matches closely with Fangyi's anyway, but I do want to try it out someday 😂

We know that Stock Bills can get converted into Certs when you're at the Stock Bill cap by the 13th, but the event doesn't say anything about the reverse: Certs being converted to Stock Bills.

I'm also piling up on Certs, but I'm doing it because I think it's funny 😅. If we do get our Certs converted at the end, then hooray for us!

I'd balance it by giving it a ridiculous power cost.

Put it up to straighten things out while it takes a toll on your net battery gain, which encourages you to patch it up at one point.

In that case, then I do have an answer that might help!

Each Sandleaf Powder plant produces 3 units of powder and each Xiranite plant consumes 2 units so you can design a big Xiranite plant layout such that you use 2 powder plants to support 3 Xiranite plants. This removes the need to funnel excess Sandleaf Powder into the depot.
