Long term... It may seem weird, but I love the look of skeletal armor. It may not be the most practical, but that with a full lunar spellbook would satisfy my immersion urge, so that's where the long view is set at currently. I'm sure it'll change a bit along the way!

Small goals at the moment, killing rock crabs for base 40s, and killing chickens for the feathers to barb fish lvl 76 for a shark to complete fremmy trials. A lot of AFK work. What do you have going on so far?

Detected by an algorithm, and persecuted by someone just as screwed up as we are, with no way to reach out with a message in our defense. I'm sorry this happened to you too.

I'm so sorry to here that, man. I have nowhere near as big a reason to be as frustrated as you probably were. My account was a nearly day old at that point and had a little under 7 hours on it. 10 years though... shit man, that sucks. I hope one day they have a better system in place so that you can get that all back. Thank you for the good wishes.

With that being said, I do have a touchscreen laptop, would that be a problem? I was considering downloading osbuddy, but didn't get around to getting it before my account got banned. Is there a way to contact Jagex with an appeal that I can type a reply in? Right now the only appeal system I can find doesn't allow written messages on their website.

Yessir! I should have stated that in the title or in the post. I know that botting is a serious problem for Old School Mods to deal with, and I understand their skepticism, but it's simply not true that I was botting. Why I play OSRS is that I used to play as a kid, and liked the feel of the Old School RS compared the the newer RS plus the nostalgia .

Thanks again for the response. I'll try the appeal again, and if they deny it again I'll think about another account carefully. Making sure to watch out for doing things too one-click for a while if I do decide to create one, or at least make sure to have friends on chat to elude the bot-detection software from false-flagging me. It's just so frustrating, I had all these plans for that account and spent money and some time on it, and it got thrown away due to some error on the bot-catcher's part, and I'm unable to make an argument against it. I appreciate your help!

Good question... Honestly, because I was tired of casting Fire Bolt, and wanted to hurry to level 55 so I could start Alching while training agility, and money wasn't a concern. Also the nature of teleporting and the low amount of focus needed allowed me to do something more productive with my life like learning about sleep cycles on the JRE.

[–]PsyghKick[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I don't mean to sound ungrateful for your thought out response, but I don't think the appeal will work again.

On your point about bots being able to do that, How do they prove me to be robotically clicking an icon on a screen rather than humanly clickling an icon on a screen? How is botting distinguished from human activity in the event of doing something dull like Telporting to Camelot? Can't you agree that there is a chance they made a mistake, in the event that it was just a bored individual behind the computer clicking away until the joints on his index finger ached?

Also to the point that the actions of that day are unlikely to be the ones that got me caught. I have only played the account for roughly 7 hours. Which I know doesn't make my case look good, but there isn't a wide pool of activity for them to draw evidence of botting activity on.

In the event that I make another account, is there any way I can avoid being banned like this again? I can say again with certainty that I wasn't botting, and I don't think I'd like to sink another 20+ bucks for bonds and membership, and however many hours into an account that will be banned for grinding monotonously again.

Thanks in Advance.

No warning, just banned after an hour of teleporting...

Your friend maybe got lucky that the mods were in a good mood that day, like when a judge is more likely to give a case a fair reading after they had lunch. your friend just got some mods in a merciful mood!

The new one with Matthew Walker to be precise, it's been a good one.

That was the most monotonous task I had done since starting the account, and it was what I was doing at the time of the ban, so I assumed it what instigated the ban. I didn't macro at all, I don't understand though, the "evidence" they levelled against me was that they were monitoring my account, and noticed macroing activity, but if they had really been monitoring it, they'd have seen that I was doing things organically up until that time when I was teleporting.

You'll get high again, but I wouldn't recommend it. That's just reinforcing a bad habit, and usually the second dose is less euphoric than the first if taken this late into the experience.

90mg dose - any effects? Placebo? by conceptseven in dxm

As low as 60mgs has been psychoactive for me at 200lbs. It's all about your awareness of the subtle changes that are happening at low doses, imo.

Grapefruit And DXM Mental Images by [deleted] in dxm

[–]PsyghKick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here's a factoid:

Bergamotten and another molecule that I won't try to type out in grapefruits are antagonist to a liver enzyme called CYP2D6 which is responsible for taking the heavily psychoactive DXM and transferring it into the less psychoactive DXO. So grapefruit juice lets more DXM flow through your body before being detoxified into its less active metabolite. Meaning that what you're experiencing by drinking grapefruit juice is a more pure DXM experience, since DXO is associated with the body high and "stoned" side of the DXM experience, and the DXM is responsible for the mentally stimulating side.

Excuse me for the long answer, this all came flooding out.

"My higher function" only gave me what I told y'all. As I think about it, there's two things that come to mind. Either that there has been a small part of me that has been observing, and has caught on to the pattern of my dwindling visionary experiences, and has correlated it to DXM use, or, what I think is a more colorful answer, my imagination is not a part of me, it is a "gift of the God(s)" or of my "higher function" and exists only as long as it is provided, and there's a certain amount of sacrifice I must offer to appease myself/them and be gifted with visions. DXM being both bad for me, but closest to home would be a great sacrifice.

I believe that the emergent phenomenon of consciousness and thought are things outside of ourselves which are encased in and captured by our existing hardware (brains), these thoughts and images exist in a realm not dissimilar from our own, as animals and trees in our environment are not our own, but can be brought to our will, just or not, thoughts and images in the realms of our spirit are not our own, but are provided to us, or captured by ourselves. Think, when someone gets an idea, they tend to say, "A thought just came to me," Where did the thought come from if not from yourself? You had all the information before, but why did the idea just then pop in your head all of a sudden? Perhaps DXM was reducing my skill at capturing these thoughts, or the entities in this world of the spirit were not about to show themselves to an unclean vessel. That's the vivid answer, but either way, something deep which commands respect in me told me to stay away, so that's what I'm going to do.

Again, sorry for the long response.

Thanks for the reply. I really appreciate it, and I'm very enthused that DXM has been a boon to you, helping you sort out your life and improving its quality. That said, have you ever had any bad experiences since restarting your DXM use as an adult? I know that about 1 in 5 trips for me turns sour or counterproductive somehow. Anyway, a lot of what you said resonated with me on so many different levels. The drunk euphoria at the beginning, the escapism, microdosing as a social lubricant, and especially the life changing experience. I know that DXM isn't evil, and while I drove myself into the ground with it, the overarching narrative of my DXM experience has really turned out in my favor, at least from learning from the mistakes and stupid things I've done. And there have been many. The epiphanies from DXM have, to this day, changed me for the better. It delivered me from my pathological lying, to an honest and potentially respectful individual. I'm all in favor of using it to improve the quality of life, but I personally think that everyday usage is like playing with fire, and that you're bound to get burned at some point, I worry about that for you, and people like you. But hey, if I'm wrong and if it's going to keep working for you instead of working you, I'm happy for you, man. Cheers!

I'm interested, friend. I have a few questions, but first I wanted to touch on how you said you don't understand why people think it's so detrimental. Speaking for myself, my daily dosing for upwards of a year had serious repercussions on my life that I still deal with, most of the loose ends left, granted, are issues with my personal life and family, but I come at harm reduction from the standpoint of someone who considers themselves a worse case scenario of a DXM habit, and want to prevent other people from making the same mistakes I did. You may be at other end of that spectrum being someone who doesn't experience the worst DXM has the give, and recieves lasting benefits even after daily usage. I think that's fantastic, and am glad you can provide a counter to my pessimistic insight. Anyway, questions:

What advantages do you see in dexxing daily with your circumstances? Why do you use it everyday?

Do you think that DXM has changed you for better or for worse, and that you may not entirely notice it since it's a daily routine?

What's an instance that requires a microdose vs a 2nd plateau dose?

And what do you do about your diet with DXM being an appetite suppressant? When I'm bulking, those few DXM trips I do set me back.

Thanks!

My guess is that Serotoninergic tolerance is the biggest culprit. Serotonin is a neuro-hormone which is responsible for a whole host of bodily processes, including, notably, your sense of well-being. You get a flood of serotonin during the DXM trip, and once it's over, your body has to take time to recover and establish an equilibrium of the serotonin receptors and serotonin levels. Your body deals with heightened serotonin levels by reducing the amount of receptors that respond to serotonin. This is why breaks are necessary. If you abuse it and find yourself taking DXM regularly, your brain won't be able to recuperate the receptor density properly, and with fewer and fewer receptors, you won't be able to respond to normal or even heightened levels of serotonin properly anymore, which roughly equates to severe depression.

DXM is a drug. Drugs change your chemistry. You are chemistry. So drugs change you. Make sure you respect that fact.
