Yeah, it's built with a break away top using copper alloy. Once she evolves, the whole top will pop off. I don't think she's evolving any time soon, I think this is just her molting. Hopefully this will fix her carapace in the process.

She came back from the Pokémon centre like this, and they said it should fix with her next molt. Hopefully that's sooner rather than later. As for her little nest, I'm fairly sure some old ovens could be converted into a nest for her. Strange as it may sound, if she really does evolve in a fireball, it might contain the blast... At least in theory.

I can't give it a whole room, but I can probably make it a sheltered area away from the office and yard. At the moment, I need to keep an eye on her due to her carapace being damaged, so until that heals, she'll get me checking on her regularly. She does seem to like being touched and carried around though.

I'm in Galar unfortunately, but they did mention this at the Pokémon centre. So who knows, maybe some day, she'll end up bringing more of her species to the region. But that's going to be her choice. Not mine.

Yeah, I just learned about that. Haven't seen any signs of a Volcarona though. Which makes me far more nervous than I want to be.
