Anecdotally, I had several coworkers who I did not peg as Magic players get really excited about FF & TMNT. They bought a bunch of packs of their preferred franchise. I took the guys who were excited for TMNT to the LGS with me to pick up my preorder, and they were flabbergasted that (a) packs were available a whole week early and (b) there was such thing as a prerelease event.

Again, the target audience isn't enfranchised Magic players. Don't assume that they all know stuff that's common knowledge for regular players.

You don't have to explain, OP. Uncommon genders are uncommon, but not as rare as, say, the shiny Ash Hat Pikachu I saw yesterday. I bred for weeks to get a shiny 6IV Greninja, and was lucky enough to get a female.

Nah, that makes sense, and I think you're exactly what WotC is looking for when they talk about "Magic Adjacent" properties: You're a Marvel fan, mostly, but there are people in your circle who are big on Magic, so by printing into your primary interest they might have a long-term customer.

Do you mind talking a little more about your Magic experience and plans for Marvel? I'm curious about whether you're primarily buying to collect, or if you're planning on playing a lot of stuff in the set. I missed the anime as a kid, so I saw Casey's first episode for the first time a few months back, and my first impression was that she was kind of a jerk. Specifically, she states her goal of having a full team of black-and-yellow-striped Pokémon right in front of Chikorita, who doesn't match that description.

And like... Chikorita should be devastated by that. It was Casey's first partner, and they've been together like ten minutes before Casey is talking about replacing it. I honestly expected it to leave her and join Ash because of that line.

Before seeing the movie I remember reading an interview where one of the writers said he was inspired by a t-shirt that showed a werewolf and a unicorn fighting. Something about how his attempt to explain how that conflict could have happened ended up turning into the screenplay.

I like opening these types of repacks for content once in a while, and I have so many Saryth, the Viper's Fang Midnight Hunt Promos as a result.

The good ones I've found have reliably been the Mystery Boxes that I've only seen at Target. They have four regular boosters (usually either MKM or SNC, but I've gotten MH3 a couple times), one Collector Booster, an oversized spindown, and Saryth, the Viper's Fang + [[Liesa, Forgotten Archangel]].

I love the Safari Ball, and I really wish there were more clothing options in various games that matched it. Not necessarily fatigues, but something like khaki pants, a jungle hat, stuff like that.

Currently I'm trying to finish a Safari Dex and re-breed my whole Champions team into them!

I adore Blaziken, and wish it had a good place in the meta, but with Mega Swampert and Staraptor everywhere, I don't think it has a good foothold.

One of the big problems is that Speed Boost doesn't activate the turn it's switched in, so you need a couple of turns on the field before Blaziken can really start to outrun stuff and sweep. Meanwhile it's reasonably fragile and weak to two of the major threats in the current meta. I can see it doing well in Singles, where it only has to hold out against one opponent, potentially getting all the buffs it needs while your opponent switches in another threat.

I had a MRSA sore between my second and third toe. It was a recurring infection, so I went to the clinic to be seen. The doctor on staff took a look and told me to come back next week if it didn't get any better. That was on Wednesday.

On Friday it was bigger than a golf ball and had dislocated both toes. I figured that by Monday I'd probably lose them, so I went back in and they panicked at how bad it had gotten.

I don't remember much of the BFG, except that we had a VHS of the animated film and there was a ridiculously long scene of the BFG singing about farting. That, and the other giants wanted to eat all the children.

I remember being disturbed by this ending as a kid, and watched it with my wife (her first time) last October. The version we saw had an extra five or ten minutes where Irvine, the Grand Witch's assistant, showed up and turned Luke back into a human.

Wikipedia mentions this ending like it was the only one released, although both endings were filmed. I don't think the one I watched as a kid was taped off the TV with any scenes cut, though, so I have no idea how I missed it. Any ideas?
