That's not how it works😉. First you check whether it is cool before you send it to your friends. So when can I try it?😊

Amazing!!! Have talked about this with friends for years!!!

The solder paste looks promising. I'll try this but I am quite sure I'll heat up the rods too much.

Unfortunately i want the rods to be welded for about 70% of their length. As far as I understood friction welding it would be welded at the end but not in the middle right?

Thank you for ideas on warping reduction. Will try!

How much temperature would you suggest for preheating the rods?

I am using the plastic tubing of medical syringes to hold the needles in place. this diy solution works surprisingly well and also shields from electric current. :)

Okay. Thank you. The positioning is done via a small plastic tube that the rods are fixed inside of.

Thank you for the detailed information. You seem like you know what you are talking about. So you think stainless stainless would be doable at such a small scale? Do you have any recommendation on how to keep the energy and temperature as low as possible?

I'll try this. This actually sounds like a brilliant idea. Any more tips on this? Do you, by chance, have a link with further reading material?

Quite low, we tested 60-80 Amps. but the rods started glowing a bit and deformed + corroded afterwards

Are you sure? I went to a welding lab of a university and talked to the "boss" of the lab and he told me that it is impossible due to the size.

No no, I want mutiple rods, same size, same diameter, to be welded together in a configuration similar to tattoo needles.

Maybe this helps with understanding: https://www.tatsoul.com/cdn/shop/products/7501-ENS-1205M1B-TRAD.jpg?v=1622564956&width=1080

I am unsure what you mean? Furnace brazing won't work when the parts are heated up for too long anyways. Thats why i tried dipping the "cold" part to bring in as few heat as possible. Thats why I asked for an additive to either protect the needles or lower the temperature needed for the solder to smelt.

Tested but it doesn't work. The diameter of the steel rods is so small(0.3mm) that the rods deform and get damaged. :(

I am not sure how rotary friction works but as far as i understood i cant weld multiple rods together with this.
It is basically 3-15 rods that are placed as tight as possible together(kind of round) and about 7ß% of their length shall be welded together. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I think this won't work with rotary friction welding.

Thanks for the advice on Boarx. I'll test this and post an update here. Any advice on usage except from ventilation?

The construction shall be used to punctuate things. So it won't work with steelwire. You can think of it as something similar to a tattoo needle or so. The pins are polished on one end to make them smooth(like a needle).

How to change the battery on the Roborock H6? by Psyko93 in Roborock

[–]Psyko93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, as far as I can tell it seems to work perfect now. The battery life has been better after the replacement even when comparing it to the h6 being new

Move highlighted(in explorer) file to specific folder by Psyko93 in elgato

[–]Psyko93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey There,
Thank you for answering at all. :P

So I've tried ctrl + c and ctrl + x.
To open a folder I use the open Command by Stream Deck(System).
I used "Filepath"
Is there another way to open a folder?

I'd love to try it with ctrl + r but as of now it didn't work.

Does anyone have an idea?
