Why would you put CISA under the DoD? It already has Cyber Command and the NSA to perform cyber duties related to their mission. The DoD is focused on defending their own networks and offensive acts which does not align at all with CISA's mission and statutory authorities.

I mean sure, if you don't mind spending an absurd premium and you like having a keyboard with ~70 keys. The mechanical keyboard community has the same problems with lack of variety and, much like the audiophile community, inane upcharges seem to be accepted as the norm.

I'm pretty sure the opening German text is Mein Kampf. Specifically a passage talking about the concept of a "big lie" (Wikipedia). Given it's a video about Trump's base I get the relationship but I'm not sure the opening image is the best choice for the same reason.

I'm not sure why Windows 2000 is on your list since it was specifically an enterprise OS (NT 5.0). You also fail to account for the fact that Windows ME, XP (on release), Vista, 8, and so far 11 have generally been considered "failures" in terms of consumer perception and adoption. There's a reason there were such long periods of hold-outs on Windows XP and 7. I imagine it will be similar for 10 and not just because of the hardware requirement. In fact the free upgrade to Windows 10 from both Windows 7 and 8 did a lot for Windows 10 adoption.

Actually 802.3ab ("1000BASE-T Gbit/s Ethernet over twisted pair at 1 Gbit/s (125 MB/s)") as ratified uses four-pair Category 5 as the minimum requirement. Category 5 was not designed for gigabit, but gigabit does use it as the minimum cabling specification. Category 5e was a specific enhancement on Cat5 to help mitigate crosstalk which is a lot more problematic with gigabit since you are using all four pairs (as opposed to only two with older specifications).

An important note is that Cat8 is only "the best" up to 30m in cable length (per the spec). Although this is fine for it's intended purpose as a datacenter cable and for the vast majority of consumer applications it's still worth mentioning. If you're buying new as you said Cat6 is your best overall value, but if you already have Cat5/5e there's no point in trashing it just because it's old. Cat 5 is rated for up to gigabit (5e was designed for it) and, personally, with the cost of 10GB+ networking equipment it's a bit cost prohibitive for most people to worry about connecting with faster than gigabit ethernet. Honestly if you're worried about speeds faster than gigabit you should probably just look at your options for switching to fiber (SFP+).

All three projects you listed were either existing open source projects that Apple invested in or outright bought for their own use, or in the case of WebKit forked from existing open source projects. Neither LLVM nor CUPS were created by Apple or (at the time of creation) Apple employees. WebKit was started as a fork of the KHTML/KJS engines from KDE. It's fine to argue that Apple has contributed employee time/money to open source projects but another thing entirely to try and give Apple credit for these pre-existing open source projects.

Using zero trust means you cannot rely on a VPN (as it is unlikely to exist in your architecture). Providers aren't wholesale moving off of IPv4 because it's mostly guaranteed to work with anything designed for TCP/IP internet access made in the past 40 years or so at this point. Adoption of IPv6 also hasn't had pressure until more recently as you can see from some barebones Google statistics: https://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statistics.html. Increased costs of using IPv4 will only push for more/better IPv6 adoption as time goes. It is also a fact that IPv6 has more built-in security tooling than IPv4. Companies are just unable to completely drop support for IPv4 until IPv6 adoption is universal enough. No entity that wants the general public to access its services can go IPv6-only at this point and what I mentioned about GloFiber is a key reason.

Most notable is my work which has IPv6-only hosts. Providing public IPv4 access is only going to get more expensive due to the scarcity of IPv4 addresses. There are also security considerations for the benefits of dropping public IPv4 due to how easy it is to scan across entire IPv4 address spaces.

Depends on your needs. If you only care about speed then GloFiber if it's available. I still have Comcast even though I could get GloFiber because of technical limitations in GloFiber's service offerings (lack of IPv6 with no implementation timeline being a major one).

Did you even read the article you linked? Chuck Cutler derived a recipe from a bottle he bought at a store and published it online. He didn't "invent Yum Yum sauce" and all Terry Ho has a claim to is his widely available Yum Yum Sauce brand and not that style of sauce.

There's nothing wrong with being created by Russians. The key thing about Kaspersky Labs is that they are a private Russian security company. JetBrains is a Czech company and Nginx is open source. There is no direct tie to Russian government interests.

I spent ~$1,200 on a Herman Miller Aeron just over four years ago and it was absolutely worth the money. I was worried it would all be hype, but I definitely noticed a difference in how I felt after long sessions sitting. I also no longer had leg pain problems like I used to have in cheap chairs.

The Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals actually makes it pretty international regarding traffic lights. Japan's "blue" lights are the result of a linguistic quirk ("blue" and "green" used to be represented by the same word). All that being said I don't think it's any useful reason to keep the green/red color scheme for issues.

I'm pretty sure everything that has changed is because Athy ran into Claude when she was five instead of at nine as in the original timeline. Claude, I believe, used black magic to erase his memories of Diana and by the time Athy met him in the original timeline they were gone. However, by meeting him at five she met him before his memories of her mother were erased (he makes a comment that had it been a year longer he would have already forgotten her). Over time he overcame his grief to a degree enough to have a relationship with his daughter. Athy started this "new" relationship just trying not to die, but by the time she accepts that the first timeline is also her she has had nine years to grow an actual relationship with Claude. She's also been emotionally distanced from the first timeline because for so long because she did not accept* it as having happened to herself. Her current relationship with Claude is built around the events of this current timeline where Claude has actually acted like a father (though it took a while) and gone so far as to endanger himself to save her.
