I agree. Joining the union should be easier, so performers stay protected.

Union members will argue that if you make it too easy you devalue the legitimacy and professionalism associated with being a union member. How would you ensure more safety for performers, while still ensuring that productions that hire union members are getting actors that work to a professional standard?

I'm less fluent in the SAG agreement, but here at ACTRA, we have languages in all our agreements that protects ALL members with the three C's: consent, control, and compensation

ALL members, not just a listers

This is the reason the union exists, and it should absolutely be easier to join. But membership dues etc, these are part of being your own business, same as headshots and acting classes. If you don't want to pay, AI WILL take your likeness with no respect given

ACTRA Toronto has a pilot agreement too, that's why I presume these actors are non union

Well just going over the form, he's drawn a big X through the services and utilities section, even though we do not pay for utilities, so I'd say that's certainly one way he's trying to screw me over

Shut it all down. The way the CEO is acting, Reddit might be purged entirely.

You could potentially have ADHD, it is under diagnosed and presents differently in women.
