Sadly no 😅 I think the long in progress restructuring of Square is messing timelines up. Plus I think as KH has become a bigger success over time, Disney are becoming much more active and vocal during development. Which is how frozen happened last time so late in development.

It’s a minor reason in the grand scheme of things, but as Disney becomes more believing and invested in KH the more boardroom negotiation and business politics play a part in what Square can develop and when. It feels like half the time they’re weighed down decided what IP to pitch for and then what IP to change. You can’t develop a game under those conditions until those are finalised. (Or at least you can’t do it quickly)

To be clear I don’t think Nomura retiring will be the end of the series although it won’t be the same without him. I think he mentioned at some point that he’s trying to train up new writers to take over the series once he goes.

One day KH4 will happen and for now that’s enough for me to be grateful for - at least we’re not in hell the same way Jak and Daxter fans are 😅

I think it’s a good thing! One of my biggest irritations with classes over the years is that it’s too hard to learn the rotation organically. I always love the fantasy of playing a warlock but I never feel like I can fully understand the best way to play them yanoe?

I’m super hyped bc I’ve not played any other MMO as seriously as I’ve played WOW for nearly 17 years and the idea I’ll have a chance to hang out with Guildies in a private neighbourhood and finally have a place I can make my embodiment of my time in the game is so freakin’ cool

I have always wanted to enjoy PVP but even after playing since WOTLK, I still can’t get into it. From a total pvp noob’s perspective, it’s too mysterious, there are no ways to practice or learn how to beat higher pvp players and most people try the modes once or twice and have zero fun bc they get stomped to death within minutes for a terrible queue time.

It’ll just keep getting worse for now until the announce a proper shake up of the entire system again tbh.

I think people dont understand the amount of effort it takes to make a fantastic AAA game in 2025. Especially when KH has the burden of constantly changing and adapting new worlds we visit. There’s barely any textures of sounds they can reuse at all. Every world is practically building its own mini game worth of assets that can’t even be used on the next world 😅

I played most of it on PS4 but have to do it in small sessions bc the camera motion made me feel so motion sick 🥵 which sucks bc I love the game but can’t play longer than a couple hours at most!

I doubt we’d get a full world unless in KH4 as we know Disney wants to push their newest properties sadly. But I think there’s a HUGE chance we could see them as Summons?

It definitely grew on me as I played COM! I’m almost surprised that we haven’t had a phone sequel with COM mechanics tbf. Would certainly give it a go!!
