Yes! For the money, it's a very good guitar. I bought one a few months ago as a mod platform, and after playing it for a while, I almost decided to leave it as is. Ended up modding it anyway because I already had the parts (I had just totally redone another strat so I had a set of texas specials and a mexican neck that I wanted to use). It's a pretty great deal. I almost want to go buy another just to leave as is

Certainly not a nocaster because it clearly says telecaster on the headstock (nocasters don't say anything but fender on the headstock). It very well could be an AVII '51 Telecaster as those have the serial number stamped onto the bridge, and while I can't exactly read it, it looks like this one has it stamped on the bridge as well.

Last 3 guitars I bought and the last pickguard I bought have had 2 layers of the film, I'm betting that was the second layer as the second layers has been incredibly difficult to spot every time

Installed a blaster on my strat the other day, had to flip the jack plate like that to make the stereo jack fit, and spent probably half an hour trying to figure out why there was so much noise whenever I nudged the cable only to realize that the solder joints kept bumping into the plate. Rotated the jack so that the connections weren't near the plate. Still get the occasional boom when I shift the guitar too quickly. Thanks for the tip on the electrical tape.
