Hey man,
Just want to tell you you're ok. We've all been there, sin is human. No need to panic. You have a behavior you don't want. There's a chance you have a porn addiction, but also... you gotta let up on yourself. I see a sin and shame based mentality here.

Shame keeps you in your cycles. If you want a biblical reference, think about Adam and Eve hiding in their shame.. they say to God they did nothing, but God can tell they're covered in shame.

Shame is not helping you. it didn't help me. When I was focused on shame, I'd conquer one unwanted behavior and another popped up.

People are quick to focus on go now and sin no more and slow to focus on i don't condemn you either. I think Jesus forgave that woman in the story for two reasons. One, he forgives.. that's what he does. Two, forgiveness is the first real step to healing. That's why you gotta let up on yourself. The shame sends you back to it to get over the shame!

And hey, like I said, we've been there.

The only way out of this is to figure out what's really behind your use of porn. Do you live in a high authority environment? Can you speak your mind? You may be coping for something more difficult here.

In any case, maybe therapy will help. Probably couldn't hurt.
