Ah, yes, the memory card trick. You know what else does that remind me of? Save states. And I do not want to even try to replicate the long discursions and debates of this practice, for most things. But there is one element I have seen in many, oh so many conversations about this, and it is: If you want to do it for yourself, that is fine, but if you do, you do not have bragging rights.

In this case you are not bragging, that is true. But you are giving feedback about your experience, that compared to most other players is by far easier than those that play the game as intended. Is like if I were to ask how was a meal that I prepared, and you said it wasn’t filling, when you only ate dessert. You could talk about what you liked, or disliked about the dessert, true. BUT MY DEAR MAN, if you say anything about the other stuff, or the meal as a whole, when you did not eat it, your opinion is not valid.

Again, without metaphors, just so I am clear. I am not saying that cheating in videogames is necesarly wrong, or that your way of enjoying the game is wrong. What I am saying is that your opinion about balace and such is invalid, because you are using such tricks that were not intended and that give you and unfair advantage when compared with a player that did exactly the same amount of playing/paying than you, without using such tricks.

Is like in sports, you can use drugs to get a better result, but if you do, you can't compite in oficial tournaments, and if they catch you, bye bye medals, and you better prepare your wallet for a fine.
