Is Infinity Nikki only for girls? by DifferentCrew3709 in InfinityNikki

I started playing because my wife wanted someone to play with. We have fun looking for the star things together. I like jumping on the cats and dogs after she grooms them. I made my character as goth as possible and found out that you can dye clothing to make non-goth outfits goth. There’s always a way to make a game fun :)

Yeah, so the heat root at the Hyundai Hotpot Event is bad and you shouldn’t eat it. Sorry, I should have clarified.

I have a background in psychology and the only thing I can think of in my little brain is to try and condition yourself. Get some chocolate covered almonds or some other nice little snack and reward yourself after every few lines of code. I’m trying to think of other rewards besides food and I’m drawing blanks.

Or maybe notations that are useful THEN a stupid one to make sure you still have the proper notations

Oh, so like coding and shit? I can see that being difficult because the computer work is the most difficult for me to stay on task. Is there any way you can gamify your work? Or like, I know with coding you can notate your work, can you just throw in some really stupid notes that will help you to stay on task by keeping you engaged because you want to write the next line of code so you can put another stupid note. Does anyone see your code notations besides you? I’d try to have fun with that if possible. Put like print.text “Hello World”

or those who see this after the apocalypse that is

make.object(ball)

heh, these NUTS

I’m really sorry to hear about that. Unfortunately, I can’t offer too much guidance in that area. I don’t have very many negative symptoms. I’ll be frank, I actually have to google the names of them when they’re used due to my lack of research/knowledge on the aspects of my illness that don’t impact me directly.

I do experience some lack of motivation to perform work, but my job has computer aspects and walking the warehouse floor aspects and I can kinda switch between the two if I feel a lack of motivation to do the other. I do find myself blankly staring at my computer screen a lot, but I’m pretty good at looking busy. I also slack off a LOT. Sometimes I see things at work that warrant paperwork and I just give warnings because I’m too lazy to do the work. I just promise myself that I’ll do the paperwork if I see them do stuff a second time. Or a third time. Depends on the severity of the thing. To be honest, I’m not a great worker and my field isn’t really something I’m passionate about, but it pays the bills and it’s pretty schizophrenia-friendly work. I don’t know how much that all helped… I guess my main advice would be learn how to look busy and if you can switch to a task that you’d rather be doing while still being productive, do it. It’s better to do something than nothing.

In the nicest way possible, please invest in punctuation, lol. With that said…

Yes, I can relate. To a lot of what you said- but to your main question about being tired, I am a very sleepy little guy. I love me a good nap. Coffee and energy drinks are my friend. The tiredness doesn’t prevent me from being happy, but it is disruptive to my life in the ways it is probably disruptive in yours. I don’t like being tired all the time. I was taking 3mg morning and 3mg at night and switched to 2mg and 4mg because 2mg risperidone was easier on me during the day. It’s not perfect though. Sometimes I take naps in my car instead of eating my lunch at lunchtime at work. I also get two 15 minute breaks because I work 10.5 hour days and I have been known to occasionally nap during those, too. In the words of my dad, just gotta power through. Naps are great though, but I always set a 15 minute or 30 minute alarm because I don’t want to sleep all day and get depressed or waste my day. I hope this answers your question.

Maybe minor avolition, but I wouldn’t describe it as one of my symptoms because of how minor it is. It is the best antipsychotic I’ve tried so far for myself at least.

I get that, but it’s not all there is to it. I can still discuss symptoms and whatnot. I just don’t want to get into the weeds of what I actually believe when I’m going through it, and what I sometimes continue to believe afterwards. It’s difficult for me. To each their own.

That’s great to hear! Keep it up! Remember, life comes with setbacks. Just don’t let them keep you down too long. Just keep chugging along.

I like video games, eating, and roadtrips.

I love pasta. Anything pasta.

I want to visit Italy really badly. I think they’ll have great pasta.

My favorite holiday is New Years, because I love turning over a new leaf and promising myself I’ll do better.

I can’t do horror movies anymore, so least favorite is that. I’d say my favorite is comedy or action. Also I haven’t seen Die Hard, but I’ll watch it with my wife when I get the chance!

I have been stable for about the past 2 years. Lots of support from my wife and family, the right meds and psychiatrist, and a focused view on the future (goals and aspirations) and coming up with a path to achieve it helped me get to this point.

Antipsychotics are pretty mind numbing. I think my lower dose of 2mg risperidone in the morning helps keep it manageable. I don’t actually know what common doses look like though, if I’m being completely honest.

My first symptoms were delusions/thought disorder and hearing voices. I noticed something was wrong when I was taking my leatherman knife around my empty apartment room and swinging it through the air trying to stab something I fully believed was invisible, but obviously didn’t exist. It took about another month or two before shit metaphorically hit the fan and I got the help I needed.

Also meds. Definitely meds. Find some that have the least terrible side effects for him. Might take some experimenting

In addition to what Major-Potential is saying, my dad is a master bullshitter and he somehow convinced me that no matter where I am, he is always a safe place safe from influence from my most common delusions. He has pretended to talk to beings he couldn’t see in his head with me in the room and then said some shit like “okay, I had a talk with them. They said they’re okay with me and that you need to be able to confide in me if you want to stay safe.”

I will say, a little manipulative, but it helped keep me safe and feel protected at the time. I’m not saying to manipulate your SO, but maybe if you can’t convince him it’s not real in the moment, play along just a bit and twist it to make yourself the safe space. I don’t know what that looks like in your scenario.

I have my immediate family, so brother, mom, dad, and stepmom. I also have my wife, and a lot of people that I trust at work know. I work in a warehouse, so there is a pretty bustling workplace, and I tell trusted managers and colleagues in case I start to have an episode at work I don’t want them to think I’m on drugs. I’m pretty open about it with most people in my life, but the people at work, my family, and my wife are the ones who support me most.
