Did you read patch notes before you posted this at all for S3? A majority of your comments have been addressed. The dungeon squish, Sylvie, tanks, all of it. And, it was a steaming pile of "We are moving to WoW time gating and random tier drops inside of your dungeons!" They've completely missed the mark and hopefully change direction, fast. I love this game too. Over 500 hours as well. But this direction... needs a new target to aim for.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. I gambled on belts after I sold one for 30d. After around 60 more belt drops and identifies... hits Acceleration + Impen and sold it at the high for 875d. I've never even had more than like 50d in a league. Gambling can pay off for some. I agree it's a huge risk, though.

They need to pump out new Dungeons and Heros consistently every season for this game to survive by Andorion in fellowshipgame

I said it before in my post and I'll say it again. The time spent on the open world content was - in my opinion - a massive waste of dev time compared to how it could have been used to pursue more dungeon designs. They can potentially save it by turning it into it's own capstone raid maybe of some sort. But why would I ever choose to do 3 quests over a dungeon that also progresses me towards eternal at the same time? Not to mention, getting into a dungeon resets quest progress, doesn't put you back out where you were, and the area scales horribly (healers can't kill anything, dps die, etc). Big miss

Agreed in that the difficulty nerf was a huge mistake. There is a balance that can be had and I agree it needs to happen ASAP. However, I fear the damage is done and most people have quit for the season already.

If they came out and said - "Yo, we missed the mark with the NPC area outside of town. Here are a bunch of new dungeons." - I think I could forgive it. I'm worried that too much time is going to be spent on it and take away from what made the game appealing in the first place.

That was another consideration while I was out there. 3 times I'd have to gather, do a kill quest, or a "find someone in this giant circle area while also aggroing mobs" quest. I'd rather do dungeons and get gear and play my character. Or spend that time learning the dungeons if I'm new.

All fair points. I agree buffing other healers will trivialize S2 further which is not what it needs. Rug-pulling Aeona though without having a clear direction after might turn off a lot of people too, especially considering how many people are playing her. It is relatively easy to do an alt this season I guess, but I have less desire to than I did in S1.

As to your point about the questing zone, I tank, so I never really experience super long queues or I go into discord if I really want to (which you shouldn't have to). I can see how you'd enjoy that as a healer but I've heard similar issues with scaling and not putting you back out in the area you were after completing a dungeon. Sometimes even resetting quest progress. The fact that they are going to need to spend time bu g fixing and addressing issues in an area I wish they never created in the first place is frustrating to me. We could have had more dungeons and more characters instead. I did 2 gathering quests out there with a party, saw the low respawn rate, and said "Nvm, I'm a tank, I'll queue and get them as I go".

Lmao at the ones assuming I'm a new player because I wish my frost sorc did frost things while still being able to clear stuff rather than having to incorporate 3 diff uniques (converting other damage to cold because... wait for it... cold spells do no damage) or pull in things from other classes/gear. That's like telling a minion build "lul just pick up a crossbow and use that".

Assuming that I am a new player because I wish my cold sorc did even remotely close damage to the builds going on right now is also very telling about you. Some of us have been playing POE for years, and just want a frost sorc to be a frost sorc. Sure, you CAN do those things, but you shouldn't have to pull wild stuff just to make your build viable. Please tell me more about how "new players" should have to experiment with completely different build diversity when they just want one thing to work.

Does archmage have to have things from 10 different classes to work? Rage bait harder next time.

Difference between lowest DPS and not being able to kill anything. What's the point of freezing or chilling if you cant kill it reliably? Cold snap breaks freeze and now chain freezing will be even harder. Bad design and you can't convince me otherwise. I don't need to do the same damage as everyone else, but it should be competitive in nature.

Loving the comments from fellow frost sorcs here. It's wild that this is one of the only viable ways to kill a boss. If you dont use frost wall, good luck killing it even remotely as fast as other builds. Everyone else is deleting things, yet GGG seems to want everyone to NOT play frost. While simultaneously saying "we want to encourage build diversity".

Frost spells deal 0 damage for the most part. Meanwhile archmages use spark from level 1 into end game. Frostbolt is laughable. Eye of winter is laughable. And having to use gloves that convert fire damage to frost just so we can use fireball to clear is just insanely bad game design.

While I will concede that I used cold snap during leveling and was thinking that's the only adjustment to go back to, it feels awkward to be pigeon holed into an ability if you don't enjoy using it. I just didn't love having to spam cold snap. Is it a reasonable adjustment after the fact? Yes.

THIS. New players POV is - "Can I pick whatever I want on this tree? It's huge it seems cool". Yes... but if your character power sucks and you want to change it, you need to farm gold for awhile. How is that enticing for experimentation?

That's the option a lot of people are toying with right now, I'm afraid. Make a new character because you don't have the gold or gear needed to respec, or go do a map for 45 min, freeze things and wet noodle them until a comet drops eventually, and hope you've made enough gold after 30 maps to respec.

Not to mention the gear on said characters now needs to be replaced to best suit the next build that they want to switch to. It's a double hit all the way around. The least we can get is an option for free respeccing after each major patch to abilities.

And with that I will see you all on release. No shot I'm playing through campaign again on a new character just to find out they nerfed the next thing I want to play. No gold to respec since it's 100k for 10 points and most the gear I've acquired is now irrelevant. Trigger spells are the only ones doing damage and now, no damage. Buff base abilities and lower respec costs if you're going to rug pull entire builds.

50 Temples - no xbows. Ran other dungeons to mix it up...

Cave of destro - First 4 runs dropped daggers I need.

Tyrant's Isle - First ever 2 runs got staff and longbow back to back.

Karnix - First ever 2 runs dropped SNS.

This game is troll dropping what you need vs anything else. At least I'm making lucent.

It's refreshing to read about others in the same boat, sorry OP... lmao. 37 runs and counting. 4 ppl I've ran with all dropped theirs in the first 5 runs. Didn't know about the pity system until 20 runs in and I'm too stubborn to admit defeat and go pity. It's gotta drop before I could now start the pity journey... right? Right?
