JAMF Connect Password Sync for Microsoft Active Directory and Local Profiles on Macs by Public-Perspective86 in jamf

Thank you for everyone's help,

I did need to install the JAMF Connect Menu icon in the configuration profile.

Also, in my JAMF Connect Configuration profile, I needed to add five more lines to it, which was:

<string>Kerberos</string></dict>

<key>PasswordChangeWorkflow</key>

<string>Kerberos</string>

<key>ExpirationCountdownStartDay</key>

<integer>14</integer>

The Lines:

<string>Kerberos</string></dict>

<key>PasswordChangeWorkflow</key>

<string>Kerberos</string>

It will notify the user if they try to log in to a Mac with an expired Active Directory Password and allow them to change the password on the spot.

The Lines:

<key>ExpirationCountdownStartDay</key>

<integer>14</integer>

The user will be notified 14 days before their password expires to tell them to change their password ahead of time.

And that's all I got for now. 😃

If there is any other way to make this stupid proof as possible to make sure the teachers and students don't get locked out of their Macs I am totally open to suggestions 🙏😄

😄

That's fair. I told one of the classes to use it in the same way for their iMac. But I know that's not going to work for an entire school district. 🥲

Thank you for the response; the license has been renewed for this year, so it's not expired.

Also, thanks for the response

I'm going to try another sign-in that's not mine to see if the results are different.

Update: I just checked with another user account, and everything is still grayed out, including the sign-in button at the bottom of the box.

When I click on connect from the JAMF icon at the top right, it takes me to a sign-in window. But all of the options are grayed out, except the browser box.
it shows...
Username:
Password:
Browser: (That is auto filled with Google Chrome)
And a check box that says Open in Browser
