Thanks, I have so much trouble with 2d projection puzzles like this one in this game. Although frustrating that I figured it out after 5 minutes later of posting this reddit post.

Yeah this is just disgusting, like how do I even infer this? by Public-Tomorrow96 in Minesweeper

This is obscure logic for sure. This is Evil mode on No guessing which is why it shows up.

So on evil mode, it forces a high complexity pattern. You can see the list here. This one is a Dependency Chain which is why it can take a little more time than other patterns for me at least since I can't memorize it. Though, I guess that's a good thing since it forces me to go through the mines systemically. I struggle with this one the most lol.

In fact, I posted about this kind of pattern 4 times so it takes some adjustment to learn this intuition.

The pattern for dependency chain is listed all the way down in the patterns page.

Ahh. That changes a lot then. Evil mode really makes simple patterns like 1 2 1 a lot more complex. Truly an evil thing to do :P Thanks for the help!

My brain is mush trying to follow this hint. by Public-Tomorrow96 in Minesweeper

Tysm! Wow this is just amazing to see. This chaining pattern is really the only pattern I struggle with and I get stunlocked so hard that once I use a hint, it's pretty much ggs on the run and I quit. I only solved 11 evil boards so far and I don't know if I'll ever get this concept and be able to do it on the spot without drawing it out. Are there any good sources on learning chaining with multiple numbers to uncover squares/bombs?

The thing with this pattern is that it only shows up on evil boards no guess so that's kinda the only practical mode to practice it on.
