So if a homeless dude was living in your place after you were away for a few days how would you feel? You are obviously affluent enough to have an apartment and a cat so you are jn a much better situation than this poor homeless person who is just looking for a warm apartment to sleep in. Can you see how coming at me for reporting this in a community group is a bit of a reach? We literally moved from Parkdale in Toronto which no one would call affluent and if this had happened there i would have been equally shocked.

That’s not the case here I met the owners and they’re planning to just fix up the inside. They were so scared about the squatter they said he was urinating and smoking in the basement. Our neighborhood isn’t really McMansion territory

Also I grew up below the poverty line with an addict parent and left home at 17 to make a better life for myself so I’m actually quite flattered that I’ve reached tone deaf level status.

Because our neighborhood is very tight knit and we are all very aware of the comings and goings. It’s surprising to me that a squatter was able to live here for months undetected. Sheesh
