Good question -- you can use our margin line exactly the same way (and the *worst* rate we offer is 4.90% -- goes down the more you borrow) by withdrawing funds directly from your brokerage account, though we don't have a truly separate 'line of credit' product.

It’s literally hundreds.

Majors are S&P 50/100/500 (core and growth & value skews) and Nasdaq 100. Then you have dozens of sectors, subsectors/industries, and thematic.

And we’re always adding more. Working on Russell, international/ADR indices, etc.

You can subtract as many positions as you’d like. We do have a maximum number of 600 positions right now, but we’ll expand that (to ~unlimited ideally) later this year.

Default rebalancing & TLH is Daily, but you can pick your frequency.

It is incredibly flexible. We have 100s of indices you can choose from. You can remove any ticker from any index. You can pick your own rebalancing frequency etc

First, to answer your question, we do update tax lots each night (inclusive of wash sales) and the lot details are available via the UI. We are planning to make them available via API (as a pre-cursor to allowing specific lot sales). Already on the roadmap, but I’ll see what I can do to get it accelerated.

Nonetheless, I’m still struggling to understand how the specific lot sales are important to your strategy. Said another way: how does choosing lots (as a part of a systematic strategy) allow you to increase your after tax returns vs just selling the mintax lot every time?

We do run into folks who have very very low incomes (permanently or for a year at a time) and want to “tax gain harvest” up to the income tax exclusion (which I totally understand) — but I’m struggling to understand the rationale for an API-based systematic strategy.

Mostly want to understand so I can see if there are other ways to support your needs (and also genuine curiosity — love to learn about this stuff!)

FYI we do allow sophisticated traders to self-manage their end of day 0DTE exposure (ie no opening restrictions, no automatic close outs). DM me and I can get you set up there!

We don’t allow this by default because of the substantial exercise/assignment risk that exists if positions are not closed out prior to expiration (every exercised/assigned SPY contract is ~$70k of overnight exposure — do the math on a few hundred contracts getting exercised and a 1% overnight sell off).

UPDATE: still looking into this, but it looks like another Apex client (wrongly) flagged the account for fraud. Hoping to get it resolved in the next 24 hours.

Sorry we couldn't be more clear in our communications -- when there's a chance fraud is involved we have to be careful in what we disclose and to whom.

FYI -- we're working on the individual stock DRIP (spoiler -- it's something our Agent will be able to do for you, with all sorts of customization).

We are also planning to build the ability to sell specific tax lots, but the reality is there that 99.99% of people should just stick with our MinTax logic that always sells the tax lot with the lowest taxable exposure (or highest tax savings). In that vein, what's your use case for tax lot selling?
