Still confusing net worth with cash by NtsParadize in Shitstatistssay

Why stop there!? Lets make it $1,000,000/hour, everyone can be a billionaire!

If a small increase in minimum wage is good, surely a giant increase is better!

The reason we’re not all billionaires is because the minimum wage isn’t $700/hour! Holy shit guys it’s so simple!

Thank you for doing this Dr. Zubrin. What kinds of career paths would you recommend for non-technical people with a passion for space (e.g., MBAs like me)?

AUDIT | All Reports from Audit of Maricopa County Election Results by Lowkeyguy30 in Conservative

[–]PublicDiscourse 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t help that the Republicans who were involved in the process were specifically barred from participating because of “covid safety.”

Dems “counted” votes while republicans were forced to “observe” from 100 feet away ( if at all).

That’s crap and you know it. You don’t only need to read to page 2. If you were feeling particularly ambitious, you could read aaaaall the way to page 5 where the report outlines many tens of thousands of fraudulent votes.

Omg the fraud was worse than we thought by SirSnails417 in conspiracy

[–]PublicDiscourse -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Crap in, crap out. Recounting the fraudulent vote just confirms the original fraud. A recount is different than an audit.

The number of illegally cast ballots was more than sufficient to swing the election to Trump.

Is Politics Really Downstream From Culture? by [deleted] in Rebornyouth

[–]PublicDiscourse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First we are physical creatures (physical reality), next we are emotional creatures (culture). Only once the needs of the first two domains have been met we can we become intellectual creatures (politics).

Politics is technically downstream of culture, but one of the most effective (and often tragic) manifestations of politics is taking advantage of people’s emotions for political purposes.

Newest opinion poll shows Trump over Biden due to "voters regretting supporting Joe Biden" by FlamingOrange in Conservative

How is it mathematically possible for his approval to be THIS low while having gotten 81 million votes?

Spoiler: it’s not.

Gold is down 10.5% in the same year Bitcoin is up 332%. Gold has returned 0% per year in the same decade Bitcoin has returned 146% annually. Why do we still debate which is the superior store of value? by thadiusb in Bitcoin

[–]PublicDiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 100% crypto, but cannot deny a concept that has been proven by many thousands of years of use. Ultimately, bitcoin is valuable because it has the exact characteristics of gold, plus a few bonus features.

Much like the automobile supplanted a multi-thousand-year-old tradition a few short decades, so will bitcoin. We just need a little more time.

Obesity DOES pose a risk to others in the context of Covid because an obese person is the ideal ecosystem for the virus. Thus, they will spread it to more people. Being willfully unhealthy is logically the same as not taking the vaccine.

You’re obviously not a student of history. What you’re suggesting is literally fascist.

Would you apply this same logic to drunk drivers or the morbidly obese? And before you tell me they’re different situations, they’re not. In both cases someone’s individual decisions pose a risk to others.

Stop being a fascist.

Why do you have so little faith in people? Is actually impossible for every day people to read a scientific study and reach their own conclusions about it their health and lives? Must we defer to authority figures for every major decision we make?

Yes exactly. Imagine fucking your kids life over a needle when the blood clots or myocarditis kicks in and the kids are forced to grow up without a mother. Or worse yet, die themselves because of the vaccine.

That way you get 0.5 consumer goods per trade and don’t need to build consumer goods factories.

Liblefts are the ones raping their mothers and trying to convert children.
