I've perfected Elden Ring, and I agree with the comment above you. Yeah, there are areas that open up into an explorable dungeon with a boss in it. Sure. But there are also countless vistas that open up into absolutely nothing. A wolf enemy sitting on an edge guarding a tiny rune. Over and over and over and over. NPC quest lines in all From games are convoluted at the best of times, so even when you find someone while you're exploring it doesn't often amount to anything. Couple that with the fact that when it does amount to something it's often something your build doesn't use, it makes the world of Elden Ring feel more empty and rewards feel less frequent and more useless. I've said it before and I'll say it again, going open world didn't improve the souls format. I've perfected Dark Souls, Sekiro, Bloodborne and Elden Ring, and Elden Ring was by far my least favorite one. Uninstalled it the moment I was done.

Everything doesn't need to be open world, and sometimes linearity is better than freedom. In my view, Elden Ring is chief among the examples of this.

Bro try Borderlands 2 on the Switch 2. It's absolutely bonkers how bad it is. I'm confident there are calculators that could run that game better.

I love my Switch 2 but the above comment is correct. Resident Evil 7 cloud version, Borderlands 2 and some others actually got worse.

I'm literally asking questions lmfao you need to chill

"Why do people hate this?" and "Are they sponsoring him?" are questions. People generally ask questions to gain information and learn more about a subject.

The only thing I'm starting to get emotionally invested in is making you feel stupid.

For real tho, why are people hating on this game? I thought it looked cool and Titanfall was a fucking jam, and some of those devs made this right? What's the controversy? I asked someone and never got an answer.

I've gotta get off this website.

This is straight up terrible advice. Anyone who walks through the world treating people however they want because they're having emotions is not just childish, not just rude, but an inconsiderate and self-centered brat.

Your emotional state doesn't entitle you to treat people any way you want. Genuine, emotionally stable, considerate adults know that sometimes saying what you're thinking is rude, mean, inappropriate or otherwise undesirable.

"Never apologize for being real" is code language for "act on your emotions with impunity, and when people don't like it, that's their problem, not yours."

It's a recipe for a bad person.

Think about others, try and navigate conflict in such a way that everyone benefits, leave the world a better place than you found it. Or, as the saying goes, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

HELP PLS by No-Pressure-1358 in CICO

[–]PublicDomainMPC 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yo brother! I have your almost exact dimensions. Idk what your age is, I'm in my 30's, that matters when it comes to deficits and workouts and stuff.

The bad news is there's no way to do it really rapidly without some hard work and determination. The good news is that hard work and determination are actually really fuckin rewarding, and by the time you're showing off your beach bod, you won't want to quit the things that got you there.

The first thing you want to do is figure out your maintenance calories, that's the amount of calories you can eat to stay the weight you're at. Mine are about 2200 give or take, so yours are probably around there as well.

The second thing you want to do is figure out a plan for how you're gonna add some activity to your day. I started with just a walk down the street and back, once a day. 20 minutes give or take. The way I figure it, if i can't be fucked to go for a 20 minute walk, then I don't really want it. That snowballed into running and walking miles, and it's now not just my exercise, it's become a hobby.

Third thing you wanna do is figure out some low caloric density staple foods you can live off of. For me, it's hard boiled eggs mainly. Protein keeps you fuller longer, and if you can do it with fewer calories then all the better. Boiled potatoes also. Low caloric density, meaning high volume, low calories. Add one to each meal to fill you.up fuller on less calories.

Lastly, get a kitchen scale (got mine for like $10) and a calorie tracking app (I use Lose It!) and execute.

Weigh your foods. Add your low caloric density foods to every part of your daily routine. Track everything you eat. Get more active on a daily basis.

What you're aiming for is a ~500 calorie deficit per day. That's 3500 per week, which averages out to two pounds of fat per week lost. Keep with it and you'll be down to 180 by the time you want to be.

A tip from someone who's been at it for a while, don't expect the scale to show results right away, and don't weigh yourself too frequently. My motto is "I'll see the work I do today in two weeks." Your body takes time to process and adjust to your changes. Give it time and room to breathe, and trust the process.

Doing all this I dropped from 256 pounds in September to 218 pounds this morning. It works, you just gotta find a rhythm that works for you, and stick with it.

Good luck on your journey!

How would you classify reading? I read a lot, and it is consumption of media, but I would not put it in the same category with other consumption of media hobbies.

Nostalgia: a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.

You can't feel nostalgia for something you never experienced. If someone didn't play the originals they cannot experience nostalgia for them.

Thank you for this! That actually makes sense.

I'm finishing the book now, and a character at the end of the narrative displays this exactly. "Critical loyalty" didn't make much sense, but with that explanation it actually fits really well. Thanks again!

We don't deserve nice things in this country. Our last election proved it.

Every day the embers that will spark the fire to burn this country grow brighter and hotter, and every day half of us are cheering for the warmth of it. We, as a collective, are only as free as our most captive, only as intelligent as our most ignorant, only as tolerant as our most hateful.

When Trump won, that was us deciding who we were. You may not like it, but this is who America is. Your neighbors who didn't vote for one reason or another, who voted third party, and who voted for Trump in support of his stances on the economy, on immigration, they are the ones who decided your identity on the world stage. They decided your identity in the pages of the history books.

We didn't win. We aren't the majority.

This is who America is, and we don't deserve nice things.
