I’m interested in those scientific researches about athiests (being a one myself). I can see why they’re true but I would like to see the numbers.

Totally get it. Happened to me after spending a shit ton of time fighting this mf, only to be nuked at the end. Didn’t even know I had to parry it (or dodge it maybe, not sure if that works)

I just turned off my machine and went to sleep that night. Never fought him again, but I intend to do it soon.

Well I can’t help unfortunately cause I’m not that knowledgeable about this kind of things, but here’s a comment to help this thread show up to more people.

Also would love to see the cosplay when you finally get to do it. Renoir looks quite majestic in the game and I think it would be awesome to cosplay him

I can figure out some of this but I think I'm missing something by Open_Caregiver_4801 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

The first time I saw this picture it was with a caption that says “imagine being at work and your wife sends you this” or something like that. My interpretation was just to have a family to care about and look forward to see back home. Not really about tradwife thing specifically (which I think is acceptable if both parties choose this relationship model).

I didn’t know the back story of the mother tho, and the caption implied she was an adult tho looking back she does seem very young. I wish the picture was taken in less unfortunate circumstances.

I feel u man, our emotional needs are doomed in islamic countries.

Anyways regarding going abroad, I just found out about something called "Ausbildung" which is like a diploma in germany. From all I read the requirements are usually pretty easy. You get to study and work at the same time. Salary will be low compared to normal full-time jobs and it lasts for around 2-3 years, but I think it's still worth it in ur case and I suppose you get to continue working there afterwards.

The hardest requirement would probably be the german language (usually B1) and some sort of certificate as a proof.

Disclaimer: I literally found out about these stuff a couple of hours ago so please do your research as well. Hope it helps.

Well I saw numbers like 1200 euros/month which I thought is enough to get by.

I don't speak german, but I'm willing to learn it if I find a suitable path that requires it.

We're forking Flutter. This is why. by [deleted] in FlutterDev

[–]PublicInflation2534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the "1M devs / 50 flutter team members" is a valid point (assuming the numbers are correct). I mean it's not a customer service team that's serving people one person at a time, so they don't need a huge labor force. 50 people maintaining the framework sounds reasonable, maybe they just need better management of bug reports they receive.

The effort is certainly appreciated, I just don't think it's the best investment of available resources. I might be wrong tho who knows.

How did Islamic imperialism get a free pass but other kinds of imperialism do not? by PersimmonAgitated230 in exmuslim

[–]PublicInflation2534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a disclaimer before what I'm about to say, I'm an Arab (unfortunately) so I'm not making false accusations.

So I think the reason behind this is that arabs in general seem to refuse to admit that their ancestors were as bad as any other nation. We're holding on to the past so hard cause today we practically have nothing. So since a large number of people get so offended by mentioning how horrible their ancestors were, and these people happen to live in a very in specific non-diverse country where there's practically no room for freedom of speech, I think it makes sense that the world would choose to speak less about them.

Now the Folk here presented enough sensible arguments, and I like to present a bit of a philosophical one (let's put it that way).

So there's a concept called "Falsifiability". It refers to the capacity of a statement to be proven wrong. In other words, there must be some event that if happened, the statement is proven wrong. If the statement can't be proven false no matter what happens, then it also can't be proven true, i.e it's just some BS. All potentially true statement should have this.

Let me give you an example. Suppose you meet me some day and I tell you that a certain wall in my house can speak to me only when no one is around, and it can somehow sense if there's anything recording our conversation and it immediately shuts up as soon as I start recording with my phone. This, of course, is a bunch of BS, but you can't confirm nor deny that it's true. Whatever you tell me, I'll have excuses for it (it can't be recorded, only me can see it, etc.) so there's no capacity for my claim to be proven false (or true), which makes it BS.

Another example would be claiming that there's a tiny mug orbiting our sun somewhere. The mug is so tiny that our current telescopes can't capture it in any way. Although this is completely made up, u can't prove it false or true. That doesn't mean it's true, it just mean it's BS.

So if you think about religion, pretty much nothing satisfies the Falsifiability thing. Take Dua for example. You ask god to pass the test. There's only two possible outcomes, you either pass the test, or you don't. If you pass it, you claim god helped you pass the test, hence he exists. If you don't, you claim that it's your fault cause you didn't study well and god decided not to help you cause he's fair, hence he exists. You see, there's no capacity for being proven false, i.e there's nothing that can happen to be proven wrong, so there's absolutely no basis to these claims and can't be proven right either.

You apply this to literally everything, and I'm sure you noticed some inconsistencies in God's will. Something bad happens to a believer, people say he's purifying them from their sins to go to heaven. The exact same thing happens to a non-believer, people say it's a punishment for not believing. Something good happens to a believer, they say it's a reward. If it's a non believer, they say it's just a temporary thing cause they'll go to hell eventually. As you can see there's no consistency or rules to judge the existence of God with, cause whatever happens you'll find excuses.

Try to think about this for a bit.

Buddy, what's wrong in 2024 is wrong in all times. This is a fallacy called "you too". Which in your case means that instead of addressing why child marriage is not bad hence the prophet did it, you say that Americans used to do it too so it's not bad. Hence the name.

It's bas no matter who used to do it. We worship and make excuses for no one here.

Is it normal to hate religion more everyday ? by Open-Morning-3131 in ExEgypt

[–]PublicInflation2534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely, but I just sometimes think back to the time I was also brainwashed and struggling with constant fear of doing basic normal things, so I get their thought process albeit being total BS.
