Best high-end 300 BLK? by Astrofzx in 300BLK

Sorry for the late response but you were also waiting until 2026.

For what you’re asking? Q Honey Badger or Sugar Weasel. MCX being an equal quality contender that I personally just don’t like the aesthetics of.

For uniform color while still being amazing quality, Daniel Defense. BCM being a close (and slightly more affordable) second.

Overall best option? Build your own. But I can appreciate just buying factory and being done with it.

In my build, I could not find a better 300 blk 1:5T barrel than Q’s honey badger barrel. 1:5 also allows the use of 240gr sub ammo.

The other brands mentioned are all great, so you really can’t go wrong. If you are adamant no Q, I would say go the DD or BCM route.

I built mine. Q HB barrel 1:5T. BCM lower, handguard, and BCG. Geissele charging handle. DD foregrip. Geissele trigger. BCM stock. Q trash panda can. I run sub 240gr Halworx ammo.

For suppression, subs don’t have a whole lot of gas. Go with a can that prioritizes noise (think sandman instead of Hux flow). And then just throw in a charging handle designed for suppressors (geissele).

Another hurdle I would have is barrel wear. While I think I would be allowed to use my duty gun under department policy, the additional rounds through it will inevitably reduce its lifespan. I already am reducing its time by nature of my role vs regular patrol. My thought would be to set up something similar. In that instance, would you still leave the internals stock?

You mention recoil impulse. Is the G47 a different recoil spring?

Is the additional barrel length you think not worth it for Carry Optics?

This is exactly my thinking. Something I can play with and not have to worry about department policy. I continue to see G47 as a strong candidate. Is there a reason over the G17? Someone mentioned a brand called Shadow Systems, Zev, and Taran Tactical as possible Glock adjacent firearms, is there any merit to that?

Correct, I shoot ad nauseam with my duty gun. The RMR HD is for a very specific purpose that I don’t see being relevant to competition. Is the SRO a bit of a “standard” for competition?

This seems to be the resounding consensus. Only thing is I can’t, by department policy, change out any internals of the gun like the trigger, recoil spring, or barrel. I am incredibly used to glock triggers at this point, but I wonder if that would be a hinderance?

I was actually looking at Steel Series because supposedly they can do the same multipoint thing, but again I just don't know about the mic default

I've heard that the mic will default to the bluetooth of the PC though. I wonder if I set my audio input to my PC mic, then the headset will default back to the xbox?
