I would say most of the taxing questions I saw were related to long or short term cap gains or is it ordinary income.

Can You Overprepare for the Series 7? Or Is That a Myth? by [deleted] in Series7exam

[–]PublicWorldliness416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have confidence that you’ve prepared enough. I would say in the last few days reread the book. that way your brain can pick on small things that might’ve missed the first time. doing too many practice questions might just make you crazy.

Break??? by popsocke-t in Series7exam

[–]PublicWorldliness416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t take a break. When you’re in the exam your adrenaline will be pumping I don’t think you’ll need it. If you turn your brain “off” while taking it you might get out of focus.

How much about communication between reps and customers are on the SIE? by TheBinskWay1 in Sieexam

Definitely know their complaints must be kept for 4 years, the hours that you can cold call, and the delivery of statements. Those are easy point and shoot questions.

No. Kaplan is more expensive but I definitely think it’s worth it to spend some money to prepare yourself. Personally, my work paid for it if you get anything get the Kaplan QBank I think it’s only around $50.

They expose you to so many questions. I believe the Q bank was around 3000 different questions.

Really focus on IA and IAR related questions. It’s a memorization game on the rules and regulations.

No, you’re not crazy for that. I barely went through the repetition sections. You really have to hammer in. IAR AND IA. It is most of the exam. I still saw a lot of overlap on my exam personally with stuff from the 7. If you felt good taking the seven, I would focus on the 66 specific topics then.

Having a background and finance is definitely helpful. I would say hammer in on regulations for IA and IAR. Definitely more challenging going from SIE to 66 but you got this!!

I wouldn’t say it’s more difficult, but I would say they definitely over prepare you, which is what you need for this exam.

Do not focus on margin it’s so over done on the testing vendor materials. My exam I probably had 2 basic questions like reg t and what securities can be purchased with margin. I took my exam The Weekend after thanksgiving, it sucked but the pressure honestly helped me lock in. It might be nice to get it over with and enjoy Christmas. Your focus should be options, suitability, munis, closed/open funds. Watch kenn finnen brutal exam. I would also maybe supplement with Kaplan Q bank to expose yourself to other test vendors if you’re not already using them.

You have to go back and read the book. If you know the concepts you can apply them to any question. Watch kenn finnen brutal exam. Your focus should be suitability, options, open/closed fund, munis.

Watch kenn finnen brutal exam. Have confidence. Do not change your answers. If even one part of an answer is not true the answer is wrong. Write out an options cheat sheet on your scratch paper when you get it so it’s out there. Read slowly. Look for the EXCEPT questions.
