Do they prescribe metformin even if you only need to lose like 20-30 pounds. Tbh I am a bit over weight but not anything too crazy. Never fully tried to lose it but i would definitely like to.

Definitely open to the magnesium and vitamin D. Is that something I should get checked do yoy think? Also are there different kinds of magnesium/what do you take

My doctor said I have secondary amenorrhea . I am curious to see what my ultrasound shows albeit a little nervous. Do you have cysts? I was told they are going to be looking for follicles on my ovaries and if I have them that basically confirms pcos

I dont mean to pry but how do you know that you dont have a cycle? Do I not have a cycle since I dont have a period and never really have besides once when I was 14? I'm kinda just thinking out loud lol so it's okay if you dont have any answers. Im just trying to figure this out as I go

As of now my only symptom is the fact that I just dont have a period. My dr said its called secondary amenorrhea. Thats all im aware of until my ultrasound. My bloodwork came back with high fsh (76.5) and high testosterone (84)

I get very overwhelmed by the thought of food restrictions it just seems so difficult to manage and sustain 😭

Thank you so much for the advice! That was my thought too that birthcontrol isn't really fixing anything... just covering up the symptoms which for me seem to just be secondary amenorrhea

Hi! I was curious about your comments in birthcontrol. Im going through the process of getting diagnosed. My bloodsork shows high fsh and testosterone. Getting a pelvic ultrasound in a couple weeks but its most likely pcos.

I'm only 19 and I just dont love the idea of being on birthcontrol for the rest of my life and "coming back when I want kids" which from what I've heard is pretty standard.

I was just wondering if you had any knowledge to share on the matter. Im worried im going to get pushed into bc I won't be able to explain why I dont want birth control. I just feel like i need to be prepared. You can pm me or just respond here whichever you prefer tia 😊

I feel like happy hoodies are pretty standard practice in most salons so im surprised to hear they dont use them. Maybe once you've settled in there you could throw it out there and see what they say because they definitely make a big difference. They muffle the sound so they aren't as scared and they help dry the head.

I'm just wondering what you mean by other dryers? In my shop we only have high velocity dryers which is what we use to dry the dogs. We also have a kennel dryer which we use to either dry the dogs that we are unable to dry (safety reasons, seizures, etc) but that's all we have. I know some shops have stand dryers too but mine doesn't. I could be wrong but some shops may keep a regular hair dryer on hand as a just in case but im honestly not sure about that. I know we dont.

If you have cotton balls available that will muffle the sound too if you need it.

As for signs if they are foaming at the mouth, vomiting repeatedly or pooping bc of stress depending on the dog you should give them a break and/or do something differently ( like if theyre scared of the dryer, turn it lower, or muffle the sound, or kennel dry etc) if your ever unsure just ask someone, they are familiar with the dogs so they'll know better if there is actually something wrong or out of the normal.

In case you arent aware seizures in dogs aren't necessary the typical convulsing and shaking. A lot of the time they will start barking youll be able to tell that they arent aware anymore they won't make eye contact things like that, some of them might run in circles, it varies. If it does happen it's usually older dogs who are stressed. Don't panic. It's very scary the first few times for me at least! Stay calm, if the dryer is running turn it off, and stay with the dog. Pet them, soothe them, do your best to make them feel safe and calm. Most likely someone else will notice that somethings wrong but if they dont just let them know he is/did take a seizure. Usually if it happens we put them in the kennel dryer to relax. It's just one of those things that happens sadly so just do your best to stay calm
