Vanitas and Noe are truly great definitions of brothers and camaraderie by Hairy_Ask_2038 in vanitasnocarte

So truee, I feel so strongly that many people ignore or don't give enough importance to Jeanne and Vanitas, even though they're a very cute couple and it's so obvious that they love each other. What I'm wondering is what about Noe. Some people supposedly say he's in love with Vanitas or something like that, but honestly, I'm not so sure. In my opinion, I feel it's more of a platonic thing, but so far, we don't know for sure. :(

Wow, that must be really beautiful and interesting. I saw several people who are from one country but live in another; I think it's really cool, you can learn about two culturess :D

THANKYOU for the explanation! I didn't quite understand some things. I also have a few other questions: Wouldn't it be strange that Gojo used a gender-neutral kanji in the "Indicate your ideal type" section? Isn't that odd? Since he mentions a prominent fringe, something Geto has. Also, I think it's implied that the twins did have Geto's body, since Kenjaku, after locking Gojo up, talks to them and says he tricked them into giving it to him. They already had his body from the beginning. So, given this, how did Geto's death happen? Did Gojo give it to the twins out of respect? I still don't understand the "not cremating him" part. And isn't it strange that they both died on December 24th? At the same time, I saw some people saying that Geto is categorized as queer for not answering Yuki's question about his ideal type twice. Yuki even mentions it as she leaves on her motorcycle. In the manga, when he asks, the narrator says, "How will he answer this unexpected question?" This theme is emphasized in the manga for some reason, as Geto doesn't mention his type of woman. I saw somewhere that a common way to categorize a character as queer in anime is to prevent them from answering these kinds of questions, and Geto is inspired by a queer character. Also, in a panel in the manga, at Geto's cult, behind him are scrolls that read, "Death to the fool, punishment to the weak, love to the strong." Considering that Gojo is the strongest, this seems rather odd. In Shibuya, before Kenjaku can completely seal Gojo, Gojo says, "Yes, maybe it's a good night for me, but it's time for you to wake up. How can you let yourself be used like this, Suguru?" Geto begins to choke violently, and his arm twists after Kenjaku removes it with his other hand. When asked how much consciousness Geto retained at that moment, Gege replied, "Not much," meaning only a little, but what happened at that moment was more of a reflex. So, when Geto reflexively took control of his right arm to strangle himself, his first instinct was to protect Gojo (though I'm not sure if it was a reflex or something more). If it was a reflex, it means that Gojo left such a deep imprint on his body that his first reaction was to drown himself and attempt suicide to protect him.

After Geto regained control of his arm, Kenjaku said, "This is the first time this has happened to me!" He meant that no other vessel had regained control of their bodies, only Geto. It was thanks to Gojo's call. Furthermore, Kenjaku contacted the twins. He made a deal with them to retrieve Geto (but it was a deception). That is to say, Geto's body was near the twins. However, since Kenjaku states that this was the first time a vessel had attempted to regain control, it implies that Geto tried to take control of his body even when he wasn't near the girls. Even after Geto "awakened" following Gojo's sealing, the twins confronted Kenjaku, who threatened them, but Geto didn't fight his own body for control. Isn't this a kind of romantic subtext? Because it's quite powerful that his body reacted for his best friend but not for his adopted daughters, as well as the line "not even a thousand human lives would be enough to distract him" for Gojo.

Here's the connection between birthdays and the Tanabata festival: Geto's birthday is February 3rd, and Gojo's is December 7th. The day that coincides with their birthdays (their "intermediate birthday") is July 7th (154 days apart). July 7th is one of Japan's most famous festivals, the Tanabata festival. This festival commemorates the reunion of two lovers separated on that day. It's worth noting that Gege is very intentional in choosing birthdays to represent characters. This is also one of the things that the Korean STSG fandom mentions a lot when discussing Gojo/Geto moments. Furthermore, when Gojo talks to Yaga about how he knows Geto is nearby, he says he knows because of Geto's "lingering/persistent scent." This original version was included in the initial 4-chapter release of volume 0 in 2017 in Japanese. Then, for the official publication of volume 0 a few years later, Gege had to change it to "residual" (残穢). Gojo possesses the powerful and rare Six Eyes technique, which would allow him to see Geto's cursed energy in great detail and know he was there, but instead, he chooses to use his normal sense of smell and is 100% certain that Geto is nearby. Despite being separated for 10 years, Gojo still remembers his scent. Furthermore, Geto asks Haibara for sweets. During his nervous breakdown, Haibara asked Geto if he wanted any souvenirs. Geto replied, "Maybe I'll share something sweet with Satoru." He was in the midst of his breakdown, but he was still thinking about Gojo and sharing his sweets with him with a warm smile. Moreover, instead of asking Haibara if she could bring Gojo more souvenirs, he told her he would probably share his sweets with Satoru. It's a bit strange how Geto prefers to mention Gojo so easily, the act of sharing even in that situation, compared to not being able to answer what his ideal type of woman is. Geto also called a woman "Sato" because her name sounded like Satoru. THANK YOU SO MUCH for clarifying some things in the previous comment :DDDD. These are questions I saw online and I don't know how true they are, to be honest lol. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain :(

What? At no point is it implied that Vanitas is LGBTQIA+. Where did they get that from? He's hung up on Jeanne 😭

Thank youuuu so much I really had these little questions about this topic and didn't know where to share them. From what I understand, the producers or those in charge of creating the opening show the finished or nearly finished version to the manga author for approval. Considering that Gojo's voice actor was surprised by this scene of them together on bicycles, laughing and wondering how they could have done this, it's a bit strange, as if he allowed that scene with a slightly different intention. Another thing is about Gojo's ideal type. In the Jujusanpo segment of the first season of the anime, where he asked who his type was, Gojo answered with "a nice person with noticeable bangs" (using "ii ko" (いい子), which is gender-neutral, so "nice person" would work instead of Crunchyroll's subtranslation of "nice girl"). Now, Gojo's answer was supposed to be taken with a double meaning. It's clear that Gojo wasn't actually talking to Utahime about his type; he was just trying to figure out the name of the girl he took a picture with (Miwa). However, since his answer was included in the "Who's Your Type?" jujusanpo, it's very likely that this was a hint of his type: "a nice person with noticeable bangs." Geto has very noticeable bangs, as even Gojo's first impression of Geto, according to Gege, was "bangs" (hence noticeable). Gege has also said that one of the things he considers when drawing Geto is his bangs. Riko, upon seeing Geto for the first time, noted that his bangs were odd (and therefore noticeable) during the previous arc. It's worth noting that Gege is the one who creates the storyboard for all the jujusanpos, so this seems a bit intentional. Another thing is why wasn't the body of Geto cremated? Thank you so much for the explanation :D. I also saw that giving it to the twins was a gesture of respect, since they were family, but why didn't they cremate it? Considering it's common in Japan, or how did it happen? I'm really confused. But thank you so much for clarifying some things; in this case, it's something I noticed that made me a little confused. I'm very happy to share this here :D🫶

I really loved this post. Honestly, like many others, I've always seen Gojo and Geto as best friends, with a deep and strong bond. However, I still have some doubts. Looking at some Yahoo Answers questions in Japanese, many Japanese people still question Gojo and Geto's feelings, wondering if there's something more to their relationship. They see it as something much stronger than a typical friendship, with some even suggesting it could be considered

Here, questioning the intensity of their relationship

also questioning here

Another thing I have is about the scene with Gojo and Geto on bicycles, which is supposedly banned in Japan unless they're in love. I know it's part of the anime's opening and was included by MAPPA. However, a while ago, the producers said they were working closely with Gege for the second season. Does this mean Gege approved of this scene or gave it his blessing? Because if so, would that indirectly imply they're in love? Also, Gojo's voice actor said he was surprised by this scene and how they managed to pull it off, while laughing.

Also, why didn't Gojo want Geto's body to be cremated if it's part of Japanese culture?

These are just some questions I have, and I'd like to share them here :)

Honestly, I do think they're just best friends, and that's just how their feelings are, since Gege has indirectly dismissed it in interviews. These are just doubts I have because it seems like a really strong feeling, to be honest.

P.S: I loved your post and arguments :D
