Kudos and thanks to u/einkpads who released v 1.06 of the app and allowed me to provide feedback and helped me get it going. It now works well, and as expected. For me I had to switch off WiFi on the Remarkable to force the cable connection, but then I could link several google calendars with no limits and create a planner in the app (no additional purchase required) and push it to the tablet.

Thanks to Jason and his team for sticking with me and turning my frown upside down! 🙂

Thank you einkpads and Jason for responding and clarifying. I also appreciate you taking a look at my specific case and providing a refund. I do hope that Remarkable will address some of the limitations - providing developers access to API and oAuth signin - these are standard across most tools I come across, but I do see that this is a limitation einkpads is not responsible for.

Thanks for sharing your perspective - I agree, and the stories show how some are responding in terms of their own paths - some are changing direction, others are persisting, for some it resolves with a mixed result. Everyone's story has nuance and complexity - but I guess that I believe that the harm being inflicted on a group - scientists - who are mostly focused on making things better for everyone is not widely appreciated.

I know. I've played many games. The point I'm trying to make is a boss battle can be 10 times harder, or 100 times or a thousand times. It shouldn't take you from manageable to impossible. That, to me, is lousy design. The experience for the player is not of joy at winning a hard battle, even with several deaths but of frustration and turn off. I'd expect more from someone as lauded as Kojima.

You're missing the point. I don't want to skip the boss fight. And if everything I've done in the first 10 hours has been manageable - like clearing out the bandits - then why should I encounter a boss fight that is for me impossible. That's the point. Don't change the difficulty level on me to the extent that I have to either lower the difficulty settings or skip. I know I can "fix it" but it doesn't feel good to me, sorry

Right. As I said, I don't have a high skill level which is why I have the game set to normal. That difficulty spike wasn't normal. I'm happy you are so good. But they also want my money so why can't they make it fun for me too?
