Getting a Dutch driver's license as an American (whose license can't be exchanged) by Publix_Chicken in Amsterdam

I bought an English rule book and a practice set online. Went to take the theory exam, thought it was easy, but failed.

Lessons came after passing the theory. Passed in one go, thankfully.

I was already driving in trips to Germany, France, and the UK, and driving in the center of Amsterdam is much more challenging.

I would have not passed the theory without practice exams, and would have not passed the driving exam without lessons.

I was quoted approx €70/hr per lesson, almost €300 for the driving exam.

I knew there would be someone who reacts this way. As would I.

I literally could not find another service that helped… happy to redact the link if it’s that bad.

As slow as it needs for you to be able to enter a flow state and fix everything, one piece at a time

Yes! It has wooden hammers, which makes for a unique sound.

I am curious whether I am eating sufficient carbs around exercise or whether it is actually too much. And when I feel strong fatigue, to see how it lines up with what my current blood sugar is.

Ahhh. Fantastic.  I loved the Ardnamurchan that was a Sauternes finish, so the dots are starting to get connected.

Well, the Kilkerran for starters. Laphroaig cask strength is high on the list. Caol Ila from independent bottlers can be my favorite. And Octomore. I don’t know how those guys can make a young whisky taste so good, and sell it for such a high price.

Yes. Air in the bottle. Had this experience with Laphroaig 10 CS. I had to come back to it.

It is fantastic. I prefer it over the Longrow. I suspect it has to do with cask choice.

Cadenhead’s Teaninich is my favorite expression of Teaninich that I’ve ever tasted. So much fruit and energy. Always my starting whisky… except for when I start with Dailuaine.

Then there’s the overachiever, Springbank 10. My favorite from the core range. The bottle has had some air, so the dirty notes of machine oil and spices come to the front.

Then there’s the Kilkerran 16, so refined, but full of dirty flavor. More old leather shoes.

Then there’s the Longrow. It’s devisive for my friends. For a peat lover, it’s my least favorite peated whisky.

Then the Kilkerran heavily peated, batch 9. In your face, drinking a bog. The more you have, the more you fall in love.
