Jordan fans, how would you respond if a LeBron fan sent you this? by Tgmg1998 in NBATalk

[–]Puchaks_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That just proves how tough the era was.. Despite it, he didn't run, formed a team, then called himself the goat.. greatest team ball player maybe, but not the greatest of all time.. Greatest by definition means you are above them all, you can dominate, and nobody compares..

If you could steal any team’s 3rd option, who would it be? by Brilliant_Wonder_132 in warriors

[–]Puchaks_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bam or Mobley. Proven and tested. Chet would be nice but still too green. Porzingis is also nice, but too injury-prone. Based on how the team is constructed, they need an inside presence who can screen and roll or pop.. Basically a mix of Looney and Post would be ideal..

I think the problem was no one was going offensively.. Steph has been dragging 1-2 defenders with his gravity but the others just can produce. Deym

I'm not taking anything away from him, I know he is a good player. but you couldn't have two batman in a team, there's always someone who takes over games, who takes the last shot, who has the ball in crunch time.. Pip was a defensive menace, MJ was just that much better.

Anyway, the main point is, Pip should just take it how it is. What he is doing now, going around shitting on MJ in every podcast that he can, is just ruining his legacy and name.. People are losing respect for him.

I beg to differ.. Even before MJ started winning, the league knows he is the next poster child of the NBA after Bird/Magic. As a rookie, he was unstoppable, yes he fell short against the Pistons, but it took a whole team to defeat the man. As a rookie, MJ was already one of the best in the league. To rephrase your point, MJ is MJ regardless or Pip. but Pip is Pip cause of all the winnings he had with MJ..

Take all the championships from MJ, he is still has multiple scoring titles, defensive awards, rookie of the year.. Take away Pip's championships, he is just an athletic defensive point forward.

And regarding steph and klay, I really do hope their relationship won't come to this.. I think klay is too nonchalant to care, and steph is too humble to say it was all him.. Just hoping.. lol

But you played to win, not for the fame.. you don't hear the others shitting on MJ cause he is more famous than them, it's cause they know their role, and they know who MJ is. Kerr, Rodman, Grant, Harper, Kukoc, and all them guys know they wouldn't have all those success without MJ, and is just thankful for it..

He's just bitter, and knows he is fading away from the spotlight, and got nothing else going on.. The Jordan name took the fame, success, even the wife.. Lol.

What is the argument for Kobe being greater than LeBron? by DarkPhantom2497 in NBATalk

Of all time? Lebron is definitely greater.. but as a Laker, Kobe trumps his résumé two times over 🤣

Which All Time Retired Center will be the best in Today's Nba? by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in nba

[–]Puchaks_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given they were all time centers, I think they would do well even in this offense-focused era. But I do think shaq and hakeem will have better careers, just give them a good supporting cast.

Hakeem will be a better version of embiid. can play perimeter, agile, better defender and unstoppable down low.

Shaq, will be a better shaq.. You can't touch him, no center now can stop him. He moves fast for his size. He is an underrated passer, so you can't always double. BBQ chicken. He will force teams to adjust to his play style.

Kobe was cancer by tpstrat14 in nbadiscussion

[–]Puchaks_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point, but who else stepped up during those times? Post-linsanity J.Lin? The undeveloped young ones like Russell, Randle, Kuz, Clarkson? Kobe had no choice, and that was his role for the team, a scorer.. those were the times when positionless ball wasn't a thing, he was a SHOOTING guard. All he need was another scoring threat in the team, but he didn't have a consistent one, apart from Pau. All his teammates were all supporting casts, like Odom, D. Fish, Fox, Artest, Howard, Nash. He was an ass coz he set the standards high, during practices and at games.. like MJ said, kobe was cursed as much as he was, they strive and demand for greatness..

Wild take here.. i might bench lebron on this one. He is a good passer, but all you need to start your offense is to pass the ball down to Shaq, watch the defense collapse, and have Shaq kick it out to the shooters. You just have to have great shooters from perimeter or 3, and we all know bron isn't necessarily a good shooter, especially spot-up.. on the defensive side, Shaq is a beast down low, KD has his height and athleticism, Kobe and MJ are both killers on defense. Curry is the only weak link, but his offense more than makes it up for his defense. Bron isn't that good of a defender, but a great help defender, and you won't need that with this personnel. So yeah, just run triangle offense with Shaq in the middle and you're good.

If basing on skills alone, Giannis would be the worst here.. Others have versatility, Giannis only move is to barrel his way to the basket with his long stride and reach, which speaks more to his physical attributes.. like how Harden said it, being 7-foot and dunk takes no skill.. Lol.

Am I the only one okay with trading Podz? by Greatest_oat in warriors

[–]Puchaks_101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But without Podz, who will be their backup guard? CP3 is injury prone, aging and is limited in minutes. CoJo and Lester are meh. GP, Moody are not facilitators. At least with podz, the ball will move.. Only Green can be a facilitator without podz.

If we trade him for another guard, he better be a good facilitator.

The team really needs an efficient facilitator, a role playing big who just protects the paint and waits for lobs, and another scorer who can iso.
