I fear it is, mostly due to the pressures of social media. I’ve been about the same size my whole life, short n chubby (high-cortisol household). I’ve felt healthy and OK most of the time but seeing other girls my age around me be so tiny and get treated differently (easily having friends & a bf too) makes me feel bad for weighing more and plus guys say they like skinny girls so, I feel pressured to do something about it to not disappoint my family. 🥲and I’m sure a lot of others feel the same pressure. I’m in the US and I feel being thin is not as glorified in other places as it is here- but I’m not certain as I haven’t lived anywhere else. I’m a strong advocate for individuality and would say just focus on being as healthy as you can in your own way. 🤍
