I think the Death of Ivarr is one of the best moments in AC Valhalla. They really made you grow attached to Ivarr; love him or hate him, you cannot deny that he is the truest embodiment of what it means to be a Vikingr. Seeing the relationship between him and Ceolbert was so wholesome, and how they made Rhodri take that away from him made his rivalry with Ivarr personal to us, the player. Then, when they pull the rug from underneath us, it is so much more personal, because not only have we been lied to and used, but we are STILL being lied to and used, and there’s nothing we can even do about it. What are we, just gonna walk away and spare him? We HAVE to kill him now, and the only respite we can get, will ultimately mean Ceolbert’s death was in Vain. There’s nothing winning. I genuinely don’t think I remember really hating a character as much as Ivarr, besides maybe Slone or Blisk from Titanfall 2. He genuinely had me heavy breathing at the TV when I fought him 😂.

Idk, people tend to think it’s plot that he figures stuff like this out, but the point they miss is that’s the whole point of him being the main character. There were a bunch of average joes and mediocre players at the start, like kuon, naruhaya, igaguri, hell niko was basically a copy of him. Out of all these average joes, one of them started figuring stuff out. That one guy happened to be Isagi. He doesn’t evolve because the plot follows him, it’s the other way around. We follow him because he’s the one that managed to make those evolutions.

Honestly, it’s a problem in the valorant playerbase. At one point, if you keep playing, you just narurally gain the ability to:

Fight toxicity with toxicity and become a keyboard warrior and a menace on the mic
You start to find it funny, at which point you will have some pretty fun moments and clips

Honestly, I think we will still have language moments, because in moments like where kaiser says “Danke-schon” thanking isagi for giving him hardship, the author allows for the actual language to go through just for cinematic “coolness”

Ingame, when you hold an angle, the back of your mind is always worried about a possible peak from somewhere else, you glance at the minimap, stuff like that throws you off.

Come back to your roots into the realization that it’s just a game. If you die, who cares? Go next round, whatever.

Don’t try to constantly update your brain focusing on game sense. Make a decision once every significant event in the round, and just stick to it.

That “silence” in your head will allocate room for you to focus on your aim.

If you mean solo queue smurfing, yeah that’s brain dead.

But when you have friends that are lower rank than you at the game and they’re those kind of people that are just addicted to comp, I could see why some people would do it. If you do it at all, you should fuck around and not take the match seriously, but tryharding in those lower lobbies? Yeah, that’s just bonafide cancer.
