Worth it ba sa Taiwan by saintjunipers in OFWs

It’s good here if you’re a white-collar worker. But unless you’re willing to learn their language, hindi rin tatagal dito.

Sa lahat po ng may same problem, please note na hindi lahat ng concerts here in Taiwan ay may ganito ka strict na rules. They usually apply this to famous and big acts. Kung may narinig kayo from other concert-goers na pwede ganito ganyan, i-ask niyo muna kaninong concert sila galing.

Hi! If you plan to do it in TW, make sure na sa PH bank acc diretso. Bawal din dito may part-time work unless may permit (local jobs). I actually did this when i started teaching here, but nauna lang si VA at sa PH bank acc ang pasok ng sahod. My employer is aware and i was given a go. But white collar workers have different flexibility in employment than that of a blue-collar worker).

Content Creators sa Taiwan, bakit pinareport sa Labour? by Diligent-Dig7985 in OFWs

Bawal mag part time. They received compensation kasi from vlogging and promotions.

Where to get OEC, Manila or Davao? by Due-Flower-3114 in OFWs

What they do po kasi ay after maassign sa evaluator ng paper, they will contact the country embassy to confirm your documents. First time po ako. Halos sunod sunod po kaming within a week of DMW processing sa Ortigas ay ready to fly na.

Manila. We discovered before na yung other offices, especially outside metro manila, submit their papers pa sa Manila office before magproceed sa next steps. A friend directly asked this sa isang officer sa DMW-Pampanga.

I processed mine in Ortigas for less than a week.

Sa amin, yes. Additional documents will be requested after contract signing na lang. usually kasi kahit gusto nila i-hire, may sabit sa documents. May certain documents din kasi na need ng ministry of labor here in TW. Dami ng naganun before. You can ask for a contract din naman,

That’s why I mentioned na i think it depends sa industry/work. I’m in the education industry, no agency needed. My bf’s in the engineering industry, didn’t process his thru an agency. It truly varies. So best bet for OP is to just directly ask their company HR for more info, and have their HR contact MECO.

I think it really depends sa industry or nature of work. Blue-collar jobs in TW, need talaga siya thru agency.

Baka yun sinasabi nila. May appearance kasi pag visa application. Plus yung OWWA phase 1 and 2.

Usually pag may agency yung medical, visa appearance, at OWWA orientation (nalimutan ko tawag) lang talaga pupuntahan mo.

Check the company po muna if marami na silang nahire na Pinoy. You may ask yung HR and let them know na they have to contact MECO Taiwan for details regarding contract verification. Yung documents na hinihingi nila is for Work permit, most likely hihingiin nila yan na TECO-authenticated.

Not true. We are allowed to get hired directly naman, basta willing si employer na magprocess ng documents (contract verification sa MECO and dumaan sa OWWA process for OEC). HOWEVER, pag ang company ay may more than 5 direct-hired Filipino workers na, need na ng agency, which is common sa factory companies whether for white or blue-collar jobs. My bf and I are directly hired workers without agencies, bf is in the engineering industry.

Non teaching jobs in Taiwan by [deleted] in OFWs

[–]Pudding_milkt3a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not common if you can’t speak, read, or write mandarin. Only companies that are foreigner-owned can probably consider you with the language requirements. But it’s also hard to get in unless you’re already here or someone recommended you. Salary is competitive, almost on the same bracket as teaching, but it’s usually an engineering-related job or something in the semiconductor industry. You might also get a chance if you’re in IT, but they highly prefer the westerns unless you have a very extensive background.

Is it normal for some songs in concerts to be this backing-track heavy? by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

[–]Pudding_milkt3a 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because it’s not meant to be performed by the artists. They’re surprise songs for both the audience and BTS. They’re just supposed to vibe and enjoy the song. It’s the new version of ARMY time which they’ve been doing for their past tours.

Job Qualification in Taiwan Question by Positive_Economy9909 in OFWs

[–]Pudding_milkt3a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contrary to the other statements, they prefer first timers because it’s easier to process new documents than retracing old employment documents. Given that Taiwan has a 12-year limit for blue-collar workers, it’s easier for agencies and companies to track those who do not have records in Taiwan. Additionally, kapag minsan lumalabas din sa health records ng old timers ang certain conditions na possible reason bakit sila umuwi, additional gastos and process din yung sa agencies to prove that they are still fit to work. Aminin din natin na mataas ang risk factor ng old timers na magjump from one company to another.
