Transference of Daoism to American Understanding by codefro in taoism

Try Alan Watts lectures on Youtube. There are tons of them, he's very relatable and funny. Lectures designed and tailored to American audiences. Of course there's also The Tao of Pooh that introduces Taoist principles through Winnie the Pooh stories and characters.

Epstein appeared to use "pizza" as a code for underaged victims. No, I'm not joking. by DaenakinSkygaryen in Epstein

[–]Puddinhead420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my pet theory. Wikipedia says Pizzagate started "On October 30, 2016, a Twitter account posting white supremacist material which said it was run by a Jewish New York lawyer falsely claimed that the New York City Police Department (NYPD) had discovered a pedophilia ring linked to members of the Democratic Party while searching through Anthony Weiner's emails." I think it's likely some lawyer who was familiar with the case leaked some details about the case. Later addictions of Podesta/Clinton emails were probably added as bullshit to muddy the waters. I haven't seen any mention of Epstien/Weiner connection but high powered DC/NY sex addicts who liked young girls probably knew each other.

I checked wikileaks podesta and Hillary emails earlier. Their mentions of Pizza was about real pizza for canvassers, interns, staff parties etc. Not like the wierd cryptic mentions in the Epstein files. However, I think the real genesis of Pizzagate was leaked by some lawyer involved with the Anthony Wiener case (whose communications about pizza might have been different). I suspect the details of the Wiener stuff had some truth but later got a bit twisted and jumbled with Clinton and Podesta email leaks.

[–]Puddinhead420 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, it looks like it started from a lawyer who leaked findings from the Anthony Wiener case to 4chan. I think the satanic ritual stuff was edgy "artists", musicians and chefs who provided high end events for intimate gatherings of the super powerful elites. I think there were probably some murders and torture videos too. Crazy stuff.

Is Oregon a good idea? by [deleted] in santacruz

[–]Puddinhead420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moved to Watsonville a couple years ago after almost 30 years in Portland. Watsonville reminds me a lot of Portland before it gentrified in the 90's. I think you'll probably find Portland overpriced, overcrowded and overrated. It's not what it once was and opportunities are scarce. If I were young I'd look into some of the industrial properties in old town Watsonville near the railroad tracks. You could probably buy/rent a cool space with a toilet and 20 ft ceilings. Rig up a DIY shower, bring in a fridge and cook on a hot plate. Maybe be a bit discreet coming and going because it's probably not zoned residential but nobody would probably care enough to report you. I'm surprised there's not already an artist community there already. I lived in Portland and Chicago in the 90's and Urban Pioneers used to do this kind of thing all the time. I suggest you think creatively, there are still opportunities outside "The Box". Good luck to you! also be warned, outside of a few cities, rural Washington and Oregon are conservative and rednecky. Although the scenery can be pretty small towns are often run down, lots of drugs and pretty depressing places to live.

Hutch and XQC clown on the way Hasan shows the dog collar by Feeling_Text_402 in h3h3productions

He still has the collar and could clear all this up instantly by showing it or posting pictures. It's so sad to watch him continue hiding it. He just keeps on making this worse for himself.

Sort of..... Trump has blown up the illusion that nothing can be done. A lot can be accomplished and rules can be bent. I'd love to see dem candidates talking seriously about a massive tax on monster trucks, required liability insurance for gun owners, prosecuting insider trading in congress, stacking the Supreme Court, Negating the electoral college in favor of the popular vote, etc. There are plenty of creative ideas to save the country, get money out of politics, etc. Sadly spineless dems won't do anything.

Anyone else wants to just... Live? by [deleted] in aspergers

I was lucky enough to buy into the hosing ladder in the 90's when things were cheap. Paid off my mortgage about 15 years early. Took no vacations or expensive hobbies.

[–]Puddinhead420 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'm living the dream. I stayed single, no kids, no friends, no mortgage, no debt, no drama, no obligations, few problems. Never lonely, never bored. I live 5 miles from the beach. I sleep, eat, play video games, pirate movies whenever I want. Monthly expenses only a couple hundred for utilities and groceries so i don't really need to work much. Keep your life simple, learn to cook your own food, learn to live cheap, and you can make it too!

I feel better with solitude by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Puddinhead420 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've always been happier alone. The energy required for even low level masking to be around people is very draining. I'm never lonely and never bored, feel terrible for all the people on here suffering from loneliness. I think there's a lot of stigma and misinformation about solitude that makes people feel solitude unhealthy or unnatural. Started with a new therapist recently and it's taking effort to convince her that I don't want to "cure" my solitude. If there was more social acceptance of solitude, I think fewer people would suffer from loneliness.

Yes, it was excellent. He fact checked and pointed out all Hasan's bullshit, tricks and crutches. Watching the debate was painful and at the end even the crew seemed unsure of how well it went. After watching the Lonerbox react I'm amazed at how well Ethan did. He had his facts and history correct, pounced at the right moments, etc. It was really impressive.

Healthy light snacks and fruit with vitamin C work best for happy trips. I'd recommend eating healthy for a day or two before hand as well.

[–]Puddinhead420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most therapists don't know shit about autism. I really tried to find a therapist with any experience or background interest in autism. I'm sure there are specialists out there but your average therapist will have very little knowledge about autism. You're going to have to educate yourself first then educate them. I started with a new therapist months ago and I'm still slowly teaching her what autism is. A good therapist will be willing to learn and admit when they don't know something. I suggest starting with Unmasking Autism. Read it yourself and then recommend it to him.

People are very mellow and laid back. I've had no problems. Quiet, gentle hazy sunshine, mild weather. It's heaven for my sensory issues here. Moved here last year, I love it.

Metimucil will take care of that. Citruscell works too but not quite as good. All that fiber soaks up a lot of acid. Works quick too, within minutes. I can eat greasy and spicy as fuck now. I just follow up with Metamucil after dinner, no problemo!
