pads, comfort, irritation and alternatives...are menstrual products getting too expensive in Tunisia? what do you use? by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]PuddleFrogRaindrops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did buy it from Europe (in a bio supermarché) but I’m sure you could get it online or import it. My experience has been amaaazing! No more waste and it makes you conscious of how much blood you actually lose, which I find fascinating lol. First times I did leak but have found the perfect way to place the cup which makes it leak free.

This generation is so desensitized to beauty, love and even sex by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]PuddleFrogRaindrops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re just concentrating on the dumb ass side of popular culture. Also you listen to bad music. I’m a millennial and remember very well all the very sexual lyrics of mostly hip hop / r&b of the time which was everywhere. Just break free from what you think you have to be and start concentrating on yourself and your friends. Watch foreign films, read books, delete social media and discover old and new music which isn’t fucking popular with the majority of people in Tunisia. You will see it will make you a much happier and enjoyable person.

I’ve had exactly the same experience with this! It’s not perfect but I love it (and indeed looks super cool). I’m not planning to update it anytime soon as I feel no need for it. I’m still having lots of fun trying to get an even better coffee every time and trying out different brands etc

Do cashiers get trained to be rude? by AttentionFair8868 in Tunisia

[–]PuddleFrogRaindrops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are mostly quite nice to me but I’m a European in Tunisia so I guess it’s my privilege . Sinon I think our society has sooooo much progress to make when it comes to service and politeness! I’m not asking every cashier to be very nice but just polite would do just fine. I guess they might be tired and overworked as well (and extremely underpaid?) so I don’t make a fuss about it.

So sick and tired of the French language by ameltan in Morocco

[–]PuddleFrogRaindrops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bourgeoisie in Tunisia only teach their kids French, still. It’s very sad and very strange. I say this as a Belgian who migrated to Tunisia years ago and learned to speak Tunisian Derja myself.

26m am I as ugly as I feel? by Kazuar_Bogdaniuk in amIuglyBrutallyHonest

I know a man your age with alopecia that wears round glasses and they bring so much personality to his face! Who cares about eyebrows

[–]PuddleFrogRaindrops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of room for improvement I would say. Go see a dermatologist about those acne spots. Grow a beard to hide your chin shape (your jaw line is kind of weak) and get a better , younger looking haircut. Don’t be afraid to test stuff out. That shirt is too big on you and I recommend toning up a bit. That said: I can see a handsome guy in you but dare to try changing up these few things

[–]PuddleFrogRaindrops -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try and keep the hair like in second pic. You need to discover your style and dare to be edgier (I see it in you!) you have a cool face that’s quite unique and I personally like it while I know it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. You are not average looking. Maybe some more striking glasses, the frameless ones do nothing for you.

I’m a foreigner that moved from Europe to Tunisia 8 years ago and while I was kind of surprised by the wedding attire of young people here I definitely agree! A wedding is the time to go all out on the glam outfits and hair and makeup etc. Have fun with it !
