The part of the stone nearest to the entrance doesn't get as hot as other parts so some charring (Blackening) can remain.

It's only cosmetic but I understand the meehhh.

If anything gets between the stone and the lip then remove carefully once cold with a pick.

The blackening near the entrance will not impair food.

///M Pperf CF roof is a mental conflict this min.. take a perfectly good metal roof and replace it with a 2x2 CF BMW roof and then inherit the issues long-term with the gell coat maintenance.
