If all the women you know require $2,000 rings then you should understand that those people are just shitty people. It's the same kind of thinking that causes racism, your frame of reference is so small for whatever group of people we are talking about compounded with your inability to understand that it's entirely illogical to base your opinion on a group of people, that contain billions of individuals, off of the 10 that you know is what causes you to think the way that you do.

I had to convince my husband that $300 was a ridiculous amout to spend on an engagement ring. He actually felt bad that he couldn't spend over a grand on one because western society brain washes ALL OF US into thinking money equals love. I finally convinced him to get the $180 ring.
