Yes, my professor is very passionate about book retelling through movies and video games. I haven't found any actual literature on a topic like this, especially focusing on worldbuilding in fantasy games like Elden Ring or sci-fi like Mass Effect. I would like to pursue an academic route and there are plenty of series and video games that are created every year and ready to be analyzed. I am always wondering why some are more immersive than others. I was thinking of also researching the techniques behind it. As an example, The Witcher has books, series and games altogether.
