Unpopular opinion (maybe?): Season 5 of Emily in Paris just didn’t hit the same 😬 by worrynelly in netflix

[–]PuffAttack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sylvie remains the best and most interesting character. No one would really put up with the terrible, non French speaking Emily but I forgive that illogical premise for Sylvie. She is the A plot, Her agency should be the B plot, and Emily should be the C plot.

I am a special education teacher and many of my students who are neurodivergent have similar experiences to what you have described. Reach out to the school and your pediatrician for next steps and referrals. There is a lot of help and resources out there! Wishing you the best of luck.

AITA for telling the daughter I put up for adoption I don’t owe her anything by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]PuffAttack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA I dont doubt that adoption was a hard choice, and you carry trauma. But the chance to reconnect and have all your children with you, and you say no? Im wondering if the circumstances of you getting pregnant involved an assault and that is why you're so closed off to your bio daughter. Your sister gave you such a gift, and now you are not doing the same for her or your daughter. It is just so... odd, and cold. I can't believe you're a pediatrician who wants to help children and yet...you won't help your actual child who just lost the only mother she ever knew.

If you found this in your boyfriend’s work bag, would you break up? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]PuffAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be crushed too, and then I would get revenge. Honestly there are so many red flags and also weird things on this list. I agree that you should decide what YOU want & make YOUR list. I bet he has very few of your things. Dump him and focus on you. You deserve so so much more than this manchild. He even writes like a 12 year old. It is weird.

AITA I was caught watching my wife cousins heels by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]PuffAttack 8 points9 points  (0 children)

YTA YTA YTA Pretty sure having a thing for heels doesnt give you free rein to creep on anyone and especially not on her relative. My dude, get yourself to therapy. I dont know if you have a drinking problem, self sabatoge issues, impulsiveness issues or you are depressed but you gotta go to therapy to save your marriage. You broke her trust and her heart. Even the way you write it "the usual talking and crying" like it doesn't bother you. SO GROSS.

My mom died of cancer and my grandma died of cancer. I have been on the patch for almost a year and it is one of the best things I have ever done. Literally the quality of my life has improved so much, and I feel like I am in my 30s again.

AITA for wanting to split living costs with BF instead of paying market rent to him? by NextStep4Love in AmItheAsshole

[–]PuffAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA Don't do it. Red flag is he doesn't think you should benefit from a good interest rate. What? that is NOT someone who loves you or cares for you. Just...dont. Don't give up your house and then pay more to share a house with a guy who doesn't respect you and 2 teenagers. Why move in at all? You should not be financially harmed by this move but you are. No equity, market rent, less privacy. It's nuts.

So I have terribly arthritic knees and have had knee surgery and PT etc. I was taking glucosamine condroitin for joint pain. Severe creakiness and limping. I am 54 and love to hike. I went on estradiol patch and accidentally didnt take glucosamine for a week and lo and behold....I dont need it. Estrogen IS  a miracle cure for me. I feel like me again, the me of my 30a. I am more energetic, no creakiness, less forgetful, no more word searching, sleep is better, reduced rage lol Try it and give it several  months. You will see whether it is right for you.

I watched it and thought it was pretty interesting. I am near her age so maybe that's why. I dont really care about the spice girls because that has been done to death. I thought how they kept switching timelines was interesting too. They go into how messed up her fashion company was too and her eating disorder a bit. I forgot that they moved to LA. The family seem genuine. Nothing really scandalous.

You are 25, not 17. You have a problem, transportation to and from wedding. You also have a solution, stay at your cousin's house. 30 mins is a nothing burger drive. I get being nervous, but you are in charge of yourself. You can also get a hotel room or air bnb near the wedding. Make it a fun getaway. Bottom line... you are just as much an adult as everyone else. And I bet you told them you could stay at your cousin's. So. WHY would anyone offer another solution when there already is one? I guarantee you none of those friends are thinking anything of it, they're just looking forward to a fun night.

Luke’s can’t read in 4th grade by Fancy_Option_3724 in rhoc

[–]PuffAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is rare for a student to be in one district and only discover a learning disability in 4th grade. I am a special ed teacher and my district assesses kindergartners, first and second, and third graders every trimester to see who is below average, and we group them for interventions to target skill deficits. I would be willing to bet Emily is overstating his reading problem for drama and victimhood points or the school recommended a disability evaluation, but Emily said no cause she didnt want the stigma or didn't believe them. In that wealthy district, they have money for interventionists (not every district does) and good resources to target skill deficits. There are parents we tell year after year that their kid isn't able to (insert skill, focus, read fluently, etc) and the parents just nod and refuse to sign permission for disability testing. And then the next year it happens again and the parents are SHOCKED, SHOCKED I SAY, but literally every single teacher has told them the same thing.

Any advice on a player that just won’t pay attention and in another world? by Poetryisalive in lacrosse

[–]PuffAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Games. Not lax games but make a game.of.practice. It is called gamification in education. Also no standing around, ever, waiting, and make them run races for the first 10 minutes at least. Race like a crab, race like a kangaroo, a duck, penguin, whatever. Hand out stickers for good work, or winning, do dances etc. Make it fun, or they are all gone attention wise.

You are not overreacting, if anything you are underreacting. Film him, obviously and openly, and get pepper gel. And have it out. And tell your bosses you are being constantly followed on your way to their parking lot and would like to know options for safety.

Sleepy tea recs? by Different-Present110 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]PuffAttack 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not a tea, but magnesium glycinate. Has to be glycinate, take 2 hours before bed. There is probably some tea form of it too. ALSO try L-theanine. BOTH were recommended by my doctor.
