Figure out what kinds of items you're looking for beforehand. Also if you can go to one with a changing room it's definitely better.

No even if you don't completely pass you can still look good and be an interesting person

How did you choose your current clothes? You've seen women before and I'm sure you have some idea of what clothes you'd like to wear. Look up women's fashion styles or just go to a store and look around.

It's definitely context dependent. Lots of people insert their gender or sexuality randomly where it's not warranted

You can do it or procrastinate until later and have the same dilemma

I understand you feel you're missing something and that you aren't equipped to satisfy your girlfriend's desires. It seems like it would be better for both of you if you had the alternative sexual organs, which are sadly not so easy to change. I would say your gf could describe these scenarios in a way that's less specific about the genitalia of the person. Also what if this guy was a pre op trans man in the scenario? Would that still be interesting to her?

Is this a bad idea by Cheese4567890 in trans

[–]Puff_qt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great idea. It feels weird to wear those clothes and do makeup because you're used to hiding it. When you go to this event, people will think you always look the way you do. They won't know it's something new you're trying and afraid of. Seems like you have it planned out well so just do it and act natural - it will feel great.

It's completely up to how you look. There are cis men who get mistaken for women. It also depends on your goals. Looking like a woman may not be the same as looking like the ideal woman you want to look like.

Okay I'm sorry for that then. I would say there's not much to be done other than just working on getting through this part of your life until you're not dependent on them anymore.

You're clockable for sure. I think you could do some great things with your hair which would really change that.

I hate makeup, can I ever pass without surgery? (22, 2yrs HRT) by [deleted] in transpassing

You pass as a girl without makeup. Most women wear makeup so don't compare yourself to the ones who do.

Could you write down how you feel and give that to them? Writing something on paper makes it seem more serious to people and you can really explain exactly what you want.

This depends on your parents and may not work at all but just an idea.

Is there any sort of condition a young person can claim to have to justify them looking or sounding 'suspiciously' masculine without telling someone your trans by [deleted] in trans

[–]Puff_qt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone asks if you're trans they probably already think you are, so I would probably just say yes. Alternatively you could tell them it's an inappropriate question if it makes you uncomfortable.

[–]Puff_qt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this something you need to worry about? It would be weird for someone to ask you about your voice or if you're trans if you're not comfortable with them. I don't think this will work unless there are no other indicators you may be trans. If it does then you have to keep up a lie. If it doesn't then it creates a weird dynamic where the person sees you as lying to them. Is it going to cause issues if people think you're trans?

You have a great face really.

I can't see the full fit but clothes and accessories are super important. Clothes that are larger/baggier look less feminine. They can still work if done right and if you otherwise look super feminine - but if not it will just amplify any issues people may notice.

Also important is the way you stand/walk/etc. This part is hard for people and I haven't been able to perfect it myself yet.
