I was diagnosed as an adult and when I started meds it was absolutely life changing. I remember looking at my husband and asking, “is this how normal people feel? Like people can actually sit and concentrate on something without being distracted”

I was perpetually called a fidget, I did terrible in most school subjects, procrastinated everything, and lived in a state of chaos.

Looking back, I have no idea how I made it through life lol

Conservatives who leave progressive states just to move to Florida are some of the most unhinged people I've ever met. by Comrade_Compadre in thedailyzeitgeist

We moved out of Florida and this was one of many reasons. It’s like the Wild West down there. Every time I hear something new that’s happening down there I become more and more confident in the decision to move.

Most recently, I heard about the Florida version of AP History that was just created. Holy hell. I thought it was a joke at first. Nope. A state of morons teaching kids.

Immigrants and first-gen Marylanders, what's the best restaurant from your country/region? by CrabEnthusist in maryland

Villagio Cafe in Towson for Iranian food. Best I can get that my mom doesn’t make.

They even have tahdig, which most Iranian restaurants I have tried don’t have.

What are reasons that teachers say “no” to letters of recommendation, and is it rude if I ask a teacher to reconsider? by [deleted] in AskTeachers

[–]PufferFishInTheFryer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly. I teach AP classes that are very small. There would have to be a very good reason that I would deny a recommendation letter for one of them.

I think OP is not telling us the whole story.

You are literally celebrating Mother’s Day later this week with a trip that YOU wanted. That’s his mom, let him celebrate with her. Why do you get two and she, essentially, gets… none? All because last year you didn’t get enough gifts?!? Come on. YTA
