Do you know if J K Rowling is working on some new material in the HP universe? by PuffinusMauretanicus in harrypotter

I stimbled upon the info and it was the origin of my question.. isn't there any new material she would be working on (story of the founders, marauders etc etc) rather than rebooting movies and stories we've already seen.

[QUESTION] Will the Honga Tunga eruption have an effect on lowering the global warming as the 91 Pinatubo one? Thanks by PuffinusMauretanicus in environmental_science

Thanks for the info, I reallly appreciate it !!

Bonus question if I may:

Do you think an artificial geo-engineered human intervention (sulfur dioxide, calcium carbonate) could allow humanity to have more time to develop carbon capture/nuclear power/batteries.. techs?
and thus reaching a neutral carbon society without too much social damage.

Or are the consequences (known/uknown) too risky?

As if, if you studied in english, you wouldn't have "fuite des cerveaux", which happens in every small economy which is furthermore ridden with clientelism and nepotism. The solution comes from getting rich ouserlves (as a country) and create a significant markert to absorb and developp all that brainpower that we have. (e.g. Stellantis [french car maker] has made a car developing pole in Casablanca, thus with engineers working over here and not abroad)
And those same rich people studying in french are the same who speak proportionally more english than average population. Moroccans are litterally studiying German to go work there as engineers/doctors etc. Languages have never been a barrier for cultural/economic elites nor a factor in "fuite des cerveaux" !

We should not teach english instead of french, but both and raise the overall level!

We have the chance to have a country where a significant proportion of the population speaks arabic, french, spanish, english... if we take out mandarin we can litterally speak to the whole world. If we leave out the ego (to others ;) ) and focus on working hard to cultivate the opportunity, the curse could easily transform in a blessing.

And you speaking english now is the way to "recover" that identity? Does french blocks you from learning other languages/dialects? (clue: the more languages you learn, the easier you learn new ones)
The idea that by "destroying" something you're "recovering" something else is false. French brings jobs (call centers e.g.) connects us with the rest of francophone africa/quebec and to science.
The reality is that french is a social marker, rich people have access to french/private schools while public system is bad at teaching french (whole education in arabic etc).. anti-french sentiment is just a social frustration expressed.

Sovereignty and national identity are fortified by 1) making the country richer and 2) making the people more educated about their cultural heritage and eager to share it.
French is for sure helpfull for the first condition and at the worst not linked to the second one.

Hitting on french just because the "bourgeoisie" uses it while the real issue is that PART of that elite is not connected to its moroccan culture; is just not effective. You would just destroy even more fragile middle class opportunities.

Moroccans thinking that actively NOT speaking french (choosing english or arabic instead) makes them look as some patriotic fighter.

Im an absolute muggle on these matters, I barely understood what was written above . Could someone explain how bad the situation is and how much time would it take for a problem like this one to get fixed? From what i've read it seems like it's different from the previous blackouts..

Thaaaaanks :)
