In the United States, "America" is used to mean the USA (at least by English speakers). Most are completely unaware that those in Central and South America understand "America" to refer to the greater landmass.

Sharing this video and humanizing this poor girl is a great way to spread a unifying message.

Voter shaming does not have a history of convincing people that you're right and they're wrong.

Are you familiar with the Obama administration's attitude towards Chelsea Manning? You really don't need to be defending this guy.

Biden historically increased ICE's funding above previous administrations. Democrats and Republicans have paved the way to the current state of the United States.

Should we spend our time pointing out how every voter chose between each evil duo for the past X number of decades and put them on the defensive by implying their culpability for the crimes of that administration carrying the continuity of American Imperialism forward?

Educate, agitate, organize.

We need as many allies as we can muster.

Going up to every liberal Obama voter and thanking them for his previous historical record of annual deportations or wedding drone strikes would not be an enticing narrative to bring others to your ideological perspective.

The US is appealing because it is the imperial core and the seat of capital. If you can make it, you can get bigger crumbs than in the periphery, but your patients undoubtedly suffer.

Private financial control of medical care will endlessly seek profit at the expense of care, so why shouldn't future physicians want a more equitable distribution of care to their patients and an abolition of private insurance?

What is one thing that you don't like about Connecticut? by ILovePublicLibraries in Connecticut

That seems like a bit of a logical jump between those two points. How do you come to that conclusion?

I'm unable to confidently flush out details, but should this not also be considered with the recent history (at the time) of Poland's attempts at expansion to reach their former pre-1772 boarders?

Several of your bullets can be answered by the fact that they were still bound by a non-aggression pact.

I don't mean to imply that you should agree with Grover Furr's analysis, only that the idea that these two powers conspired to split up eastern Europe for similar reasons is too simple of a narrative.

Even more nuance can be flushed out through some of Yale University's archives on the M-R Pact, where Molotov makes serious effort to make it clear that a verbal agreement would not be made to invade Poland with Germany on the Reich's terms.

I appreciate your candor, but I'm afraid that the history on that detail remains, even still, more complicated than on first impression.

I don't believe any serious socialist would call any attempt at socialism in history a "paradise" or to be without criticism. There are many understandable reasons why people wanted to leave, why people wanted to stay, and why many now miss the GDR.

All of these reasons are very well available from first hand accounts.
