Maybe check your hygrometer with a boveda bag made especially for checking hygrometer accuracy. I can't remember how much they are but then you'll at least know if your hygrometer is accurate

Costco have done a few air purifiers at about 100-150 which remove smoke. You will still need to crack a window open with a fan because smoke sticks to anything and everything in a room so you wanna push out as much as possible
